Simply Less is More # 187

Hello!
As it`s a 5 saturday month we have a Lucky Dip at the Simply Less is More challenge
and the theme is BESIDE THE SEA.

I masked and chalked the sand, sea and sky on my panel then stamped the grasses from Inkadinkado in Versafine black ink.
I hand drew the birds ( about as arty as I get I`m afraid) and added a conch shell bead before mounting it on the base card using foam pads.

I can`t say I`m much of a seaside person really, I prefer the countryside but if I could find a nice little quiet cove that no one else knew about, I`d settle for that. I hate the commercialised seaside towns full of amusement arcades and fairground rides. Blimey I`m getting miserable in my old age lol.

Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

  1. I love this...especially the birds. I think you are more "arty" than you give yourself credit for! :)

  2. What a beautiful, peaceful scene Lynne - I could sit and look at it all day long. The birds are fab. by the way - obviously they are seagulls, and they complete the seascape perfectly!

  8. Fab card, love the linear feel of it! Good to find someone a little closer to me geographically too. Guessing you're in the Look North region like me.

  10. I will join you in your crowd-averse stance, Lynn! But I'll leave you alone in your cove; I'll just have the next one over! I love your solitary shore with the perfectly masked sand, sea, and sky. And way to go with the arty birds!! Thank you for playing at LIM!! Hugs, Darnell
