Flourishes " The Colors Of Fall" Challenge

Good Evening All!
Over on Flourishes.org they are having an Autumn Colour Challenge.Inspired by the new seasons fashion colours we have been given this fabulous colour scheme.

I thought I`d have a change from the usual earthy
colours of autumn and use my version of Bamboo,
Honeysuckle, Phlox and Cedar.
I`ve used the Zinnia stamp set again because it works so well with these colours.
Both the DP`s are by Papermania matted onto green card. I`ve added a ribbon and bow which looks brighter than the ribbon but it isn`t I assure you.
The image is coloured with Promarkers and cut out with a circle nestie matted onto a lacey scallop nestie in light purple.
The sentiment is from the same Zinnia set and cut out with a tag punch.
I`ve left this entry really late and should just about squeaze it in (fingers crossed)

Less is More #32 Seeing Double

Phew! Who would have thought that one day of festivities would throw me out so much. I don`t think I`ve ever been this late with my entry for the Less is More Challenge. Having said that, for someone who`s normally tucked up and fast asleep by 10:30, rolling home at 2 in the morning is bound to have an effect lol. I`ve got lots of catching up to do so without further ado, here is my card for this week.
Mandi and Chrissie want us to see double this week, as in two of something on your creation.

I`ve use a tulip stamp from Chocolate Baroque which is part of a medallion set. I stamped one tulip then made a mask ( on a roll with my masking now lol) and stamped the second tulip behind the first.
Coloured the image with Promarkers and added a sentiment from Flourishes.
I`m sending this card to Rachels Mum and Dad to thank them for all the hard work they put into making saturdays wedding such a wonderful occasion.




Thats it from me, going to have to spend the rest of the week commenting on all the fabulous entries so far. Roll on the weekend lol.

Wedding Pics

Hello Everyone,
Just a quick post to show some pics from yesterdays wedding.
We had an absolutely fabulous day, everything went perfectly. The church service was wonderful, the Vicar was lovely and had a wicked sense of humour which put everyone at ease. We had three readings which all went wonderfully well, one from the Brides brother Danny, one from my Dad and one from the brides Aunt. The reception was amazing, the speeches were brilliant even though all three, the Brides Dad, the Groom and the Best Man were all shaking like leaves and so nervous and the food was delicious.On top of all that, the sun shone.
A truely perfect day.
Here are a few piccy`s mostly taken by me which explains why they`re not very good. When we get the one`s from the photographer ( who was amazing) I`ll post some better one`s.

  And finally, the cake. Just a small cake but hundreds of chocolate dipped strawberry cupcakes, yummy, and a glimpse at the setting we had for the reception.

So, all the stress and worry was well worth it, just really tired today after a very late night.

One Layer Wednesday is back....

Yaaay!!!
Good evening all!
I`ve really missed my weekly fix of OLW but the wait is over. The first challenge since the break is by Jennifer at Styles Ink and she has asked us for one layer baby cards.Here is mine.

I`ve used a digi stamp that I know was a freebie but for the life of me I can`t remember whose it is. If anyone knows can they let me know so I can give credit please.
The image is a dream to colour and perfect for baby cards,just love that bear.
I`ve added a sentiment which is computer generated.
The image is coloured with Promarkers and I`ve added Glamour Dust to the stars to make them twinkle, unfortunately I had to take the piccy before the glue had dried properly so you don`t get the true effect of the glitter.
This will probably be my last post for a few days. My baby son is getting married on Saturday so I`m going to be a bit busy over the next couple of days Lol. I`ll be back as soon as possible and hopefully will have some wedding pics to share. I`m getting so excited now, don`t know if I`ll sleep :)

Jules Crafty Snippets wk 35

Good Evening All!

I hope you`ve all had a fabulous weekend. The weather here yesterday was glorious. We had sunshine...yes...sunshine and the temperature was in the mid 70`s. I really thought summer had returned.It spoilt itself again today though, cloud and the odd shower,definitely autumnal again. Which brings me nicely onto my first card for Jules Crafty Snippets.
Yes, I`ve been raiding the bit box again and this is what I`ve come up with...

I tend to stamp my images early in the week and then I can sit at the table downstairs and colour them whilst half watching half listening to the telly ( yes we`re still with the portable so it doesn`t matter if I`m not watching lol) Then I make up my cards on a weekend.
The snippets of DP are from Shabby Princess and the border is made using a snippet of card and a Spellbinders border die.
The sentiment label is made from the edge I cut off the main card base to make a square card.
The sentiment is from the Flourishes Zinnia`s set as are the flowers. This is a single flower that comes with the set and is coloured with promarkers and Marvy pens.
The leaves are made using a punch and a scrap of green card.

As threatened last week, my next card is a Christmas card.

I`ve used scraps of Pink Petticoat Large Snowflakes and a gorgeous piece from an Artilicious Seasons Greeting CD.
The stamps are by Judikins and were some of the first stamps I ever bought. I`m still in love with these gorgeous Angels and especially the peeking one. Just look at her feet and her halo has slipped lol.
Believe it or not this is my first time masking, how sad is that? Especially now I know how easy peasy it is to do, I`m slightly ashamed to admit that lol.
Anyway, back to my Angels, I`ve coloured them with Promarkers and added some Glamour Dust to their wings.
Their halo`s are glittered in gold.
I`ve cut the image out with a nestie circle and matted that onto a nestie scalloped circle in lilac.
I`ve added some sparkly lilac craft yarn and a sentiment by Creative Expressions cut out with a nestie labels 4 die.
I did make another card but I`m not too happy with it. I feel it is lacking something so might come back with that one another time.
Jules asked me a couple of weeks ago if my snippet pile was going down yet. Well the answer to that is...no, not so as you`d notice lol. In fact I have a sneaky feeling that it`s growing argh!!!
NB, the lace border on the first card is made using Spellbinders Grand Borderbilities Classic Lace Die.

Less is More wk 31...Metallic

Good Afternoon All and a happy saturday to you all.

This weeks challenge at Less is More is a colour one. We are asked to use Metallic.
Mmm, it`s times like this when I realise how limited my crafty stash is. I`ve wracked my brains and searched the loft and all I can come up with is gold or silver EP but having not missed a week so far I`m certainly not going to miss this one. Here is my first effort,

Not the most creative card I`ve ever made but it`s turned out ok. Not the easiest card to photograph either lol.
I`ve used a snowflake EF by Cuttlebug and, as the panel is larger than the folder, I`ve embossed so much, then moved the card along and embossed the rest. Not as easy as with a repetative pattern but I think it`s lined up alright. I`ve matted the panel onto some silver mirri card and placed it with foam pads.
The sentiment is Papermania Silent Night stamp set, stamped in clear embossing ink and embossed in detail silver EP.I`ve matted that onto silver mirri card too and placed using foam pads.
One silver metallic snowflake to finish and that`s it.
This is my first Christmas card so far this year I think but I`m pleased with the way it`s turned out and will probably do some more like this one in other colours.

St Lukes September Challenge

Wow! September already. I can`t believe how fast the weeks are going.It`s time once more for a new challenge at St Lukes Charity Card Challenge and this month we have a `Card Buffet`.

Here is my card to give you, just a little bit of inspiration, don`t forget to check out the rest of the DT for their fabulous makes.

I have used no1, Patterned Paper. Two papers from Papermanias Chatsworth Collection matted onto wine coloured card.
no2, Ribbon, soft green tied in a bow.
no4 Pearls to finish along to top left and bottom right corners.
no6, Flowers, handmade using a marianne designs Die and wine coloured card.
There is also some embossing around the sentiment ( Personal Impressions) and the scalloped circle nestie.
See how easy peasy it is?
And don`t forget you can donate your cards too to raise much needed funds for this very worthy cause.
Tara and her hubby worked very hard during the bank holiday weekend selling your donated cards at the august fayre and raised a staggering amount of money, but the hospice needs more.
