Hi, 'tis me, sneaking in and hoping no one will realise quite how long it's been since my last post. There was no particular reason for me being missing in action, simply that life got in the way and bogged me down. I have, however being crafting away while I've been gone, just not as regularly as I should have been. I have also been popping in to look at your fabulous designs ( and pinching some ideas from you too ).
Any way I'm back. I cannot promise to post every day but I will try at least now and again.

For today though I would like to share a wedding card a friend asked me to make for her friend.

I used white pearl card for base and white tapestry embossed paper for the layering

The scalloped border die is from Spellbinders
The heart die is from Sizzix
Word die is Brittania dies
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

Bouquet birthday card

Hi there,
I was asked to make a card by a friend with no instructions other than lots of flowers.
Hmmm, I tried lots of different colour combinations but couldn't find anything I was happy with. Then I remembered I had some flowers in a vase in the kitchen. My daughter works in a shop which sells cut flowers and when the sell by date is up they get thrown away. So daughter puts some money in the charity box and brings them home for me. The ones I have now are well over a week old and still looking good. Such a waste to throw them.

 The DP is Prima Fairy Belle collection which was freebie in a magazine a couple of years ago.

I used two sheets of similar colour, using one to cut a corner using Spellbinders Curved Corners die
Some texture paste on a Studio 75 stencil with some very pale pink glitter sprinkled over to give some sparkle.
Flowers by Wild Orchid crafts.
The sentiment is PC generated cut out with a SB scallop circle to finish.

Christening keepsake book card.

Hello there,
I went to my newest great niece, Livia's  Christening last Sunday. We all had a lovely day, the vicar was wonderful and made a great effort to involve Livy's older sister Lylah with the ceremony by letting pour the Holy Water from a jug into Font.

This is the keepsake book card I made for Livia.

 I used Pink Petticoat Swiss Dots Papers for the cover.
Spellbinders Radiant Rectangle and Floral Oval dies.

 The image is by Lili of the Valley, lightly coloured with watercolour pencils and some Glamour Dust
on the dress and pillow frill.
The window glass is also coloured with watercolour pencil in yellow and a coat of Glossy Accents.

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid crafts.

Simply Less is More # 267

Hi there, I'm a bit later with my entry for this weeks Simply Less is More challenge. It's one layer week and we are to make the SENTIMENT the focus of our design.

I started by embossing a rectangle onto the front of the card and added this fab sentiment from Lili of the Valley.
I stamped in Versacolor Cyan and embossed with clear EP.
Some hearts made with a stencil from Studio 75 and handmade texture paste with a sprinkling of Glamour Dust while still wet, to finish.

Simply Less is More CITRUS

Hi there,
Well, not only am I back for the third week running, it's still Saturday. I'm feeling quite pleased with myself.

It's a colour challenge this week at Simply Less is More and our colours are CITRUS.

I love citrus colours, particularly orange and lime so that's what I've gone with.

I've used a little balloon stamp from Hobbycraft that I've had for a while and never inked.
I made a simple panel, masked my balloon off and chalked some pale blue around the image.
The cloud is by Memory Box and I've added a tiny sentiment from Personal Impressions.
The enamel dots are also from Hobbycraft.

In 1970 when I was 15 I was allowed to choose my own colour scheme and decorate my own bedroom.
I had orange walls and a lime green door. We were still in the Psychodelic period so it wasn't quite as bad as it sounds. I loved it then and I still love the colours together now. My taste in interior design however has calmed down somewhat, although I do still love colour.
 I do think my parents were very brave though ha ha.

Mothers Day cards

Hi,
Well twice in one week, things are on the up.

I have two Mothers day cards to share today. Both the same design but different coloured background papers.

 I received a new camera for my birthday in November and a Laptop for Christmas and I'm still trying to get used to both of them. Between them and a new photo editing app I'm not doing very well at the moment.

 This is the best pic I've managed.
The front card is actually Pale sage green but looks a bit gray to me.

And this one is yellow. It shows better in the previous pic.

The papers are Pink Petticoat, Pin stripes and Brocade.
The doily is by Marianne Designs with the centre cut out with a Spellbinders circle nestie.
The sentiment is Layers of Colour stamped and embossed in gold and silver EP
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

It's going to rain all day tomorrow so I'm hoping to get some more crafty time in.

Simply Less is More # 265

 Hi there,
A quick post from me today to share my card for this weeks Simply Less is more 
challenge which is to use WIRE on our creations.
I tried really hard to come up with something interesting and unique but to no avail and so this
little card evolved. I'll call it " Spring has Sprung" in more ways than one.

I cut 2 squares of different sizes from a Die-namics die set and embossed the smaller one with an EF from
Craft Concepts ( Woodgrain)
The leaves are from a Memory Box die, trimmed down.
The flowers are made with a punch and pastel paper.
I've added some flat back pearls for the centres.
The sentiment is from Flourishes.
I made a spring by coiling some wire on a scewer and stretching it slightly and slotting it into a butterfly bead.
So, I have a butterfly with a spring sticking out of it's bum. Not my finest moment :-)
