Hello All!
The final challenge of the year at Less is More is a two week one with the title Just One Word.
To make a card as clean and simple as possible but where the sentiment is, obviously, just one word. I have gone with a thank you card. Not very original I`ll admit but I needed one and this was a perfect opportunity to kill two birds with one stone, as it were.
I used a stamp from the Lenten Rose set by Flourishes, coloured with Promarkers and little touch of Glamour Dust.
The sentiment is computer generated using Baroque Script font.
As it`s a 2 week challenge there may be more to follow lol.
Well Christmas is over for another year. I hope you all had a fabulous time and Santa was kind to you. Ours went by in a flash but was lovely being able to spend some quality time with family.
My toe is getting better. The swelling has gone and most of the infection has cleared but I`m still on the antibiotics `til tuesday so no falling down water for me this weekend. Not that it makes a lot of difference because I hardly drink alcohol anyway. Lol.
Which just leaves me to say,
Happy 2012 to you all!
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

Last Christmas card for 2011
Hello All!
I hope I find you well and coping with the stress of Christmas preparations. I have a card to share that I suddenly realised I hadn`t posted yet. This is for my managers baby daughter ( and my neighbours grandaughter).
Cerynn is nearly 15 months old and she is gorgeous. I just couldn`t resist making her a special card.
I`ve used a Mo Manning image called Kai in the Snow, coloured with promarkers.
The papers are Me to You and I`ve added Glamour dust, some punched glitter snowflakes and some tiny clear gems around the image. I`ve also raked out my peel offs and added some corners, it seemed a shame not to use them.
Now I`m sure by now you all think I`m a moaning hypochrondriac ( I enjoy ill health, my mother would say lol) and I have to admit I do go on a bit and I know I have a lot to be thankful for but...I have an infected chilblain on my left big toe!!! Don`t ask me how I got chilblains in the first place `cos I don`t know, it hasn`t been that cold really but I have...and it hurts. It`s under the toe aswell so I can`t walk very well and my whole foot has swollen up now. It was hurting over the weekend and by the end of my shift on monday I could barely walk but after a visit to the practice nurse at my GP surgery I was given a course of anti biotics, some anti bacterial cream and some pain killers it seems to be easing a bit.
The good news is that I have the rest of the week off work although I do enjoy the atmosphere on the run up to Christmas. The bad news is that all my craft stuff is in the loft and I can`t get up there. Ho Hum.
Anyway, I doubt I`ll be posting again before Christmas so I`d like to take this opportunity to wish you all
A Very Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.

Less is More wk 46 Music
Hello All!
Phew, I`m a bit earlier this week with my entry for Less is More which is theme week.
MUSIC
My card is a bit of a long shot today. After searching through my stamps, the only other music related one I have is Rock Star which I used a few weeks ago. Then I found this one by Chocolate Baroque that I`ve had for ages and never inked up. Actually, looking at it, it would have been better for the Silhouette week which I used Rock Star on then I would have had a proper music stamp to use. Doh!
Anyway enough of my wittering, here is my card.
It`s also a bit more than less.
I figured that there`s no nicer sound than birdsong first thing in a morning, especially blackbirds, and as it is music to my ears ( really pushing it now lol) I would use this stamp.
I had some music already printed off that I`d found somewhere on the net so I matted it onto some yellow card.
I chalked the background first with yellow and pink chalk then stamped over it using Versafine onyx black.
The image is raised using foam pads. I haven`t bothered with a sentiment on this one because I`m not sure who or what I`ll use it for yet....
Made a pleasant change from Christmas cards.

Less is More wk 45 Let it Snow
At last, I thought I`d never get this posted. I`ve never been this late with my entry for Less is More before but I didn`t want to miss a week after all this time. This week it`s a one layer card with the theme `Let it Snow`.
I really can`t understand why, when I`ve known Christmas was coming for the past year, I`m still running about like a maniac and so disorganised it`s unbelievable.
Anyway onto my very late card.
White card base 5x5 punched along the bottom with a MS punch.
I used a medallion stamp by Creative Stamping called Snowflake but kept it as a single image, stamped in Memento Bahama Blue and embossed in clear EP.
The sentiment is by Layers of Color stamped in Versafine Black.
And there you have it clean and very, very simple. Just like me lol.
Hopefully I`ll get round a few more of you with comments later this evening.

Less is More wk 44 card 2
Hello All!,
Brrr, it`s rather chilly today. I walked to work in frost this morning but coming home was bright sunshine. Still freezing but sunny. So why then, as soon as I came up to photograph my card the sky turned black and we got rain. And I thought I was indecisive...
It occured to me yesterday that I hadn`t made my Dad a Christmas card yet so I thought I`d take advantage of this weeks colour challenge at Less is More which is to use Green.
Naturally he didn`t want cute or frilly so I`ve tried to go a bit masculine with this one. I`m quite pleased with it.
Now I`ve mastered the art of embossing with dies I`m rather partial to this type of card, paricularly for male cards
Really quick and simple. I embossed a Nestie rectangle onto the front of a 5x5 card, masked it off using post its and used different shades of green chalk and a sponge for the background.
I stamped the holly corner from Chocolate Baroque in clear embossing ink and heat embossed it using evergreen EP. I`ve added some tiny red gems for the berries.
The sentiment is computer generated.
On the photo it looks as if theres a smudge along the top but I can`t see it IRL.
Thank you all for the lovely comments on yesterdays post. I`m pleased I`m not the only one falling to bits lol.
Right, I`m going downstairs now to defrost.

Less is More....Green
Hello and a Happy Sunday All!
Are we all getting into the Christmas Spirit? The weather is certainly feeling Christmassy, it`s flippin` freezing here today. I`m sure we`ll get snow soon. Roll on spring lol.
As it`s the first week of the month it`s a colour challenge at Less is More. This time we are to use GREEN.
Mandi and Chrissie have been kind to us this week, you can`t get much more festive than green can you?
My first thought was to go with a Christmas tree but then I remembered my recently bought Spellbinders Vintage Baubles so went with them instead.
I started with a 5x5 white card base, cut a white panel slightly smaller and matted it onto dark green card.
I used my Chocolate Baroque ( Elusive Images) Damask Delights background stamp, stamped in green ink and embossed using Evergreen EP then cut two of the baubles.
The sentiment is by Creative Expressions also stamped and embossed in green.
The baubles are raised using foam pads and I`ve added some gold cord ( `cos I didn`t have any green).
I was going to add a bow to the tops of the baubles but I haven`t any thin green ribbon and I didn`t want to use another colour. Still I`m quite pleased with it.
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I`d had to go for blood tests at the doctors. I originally went because I`ve been getting pain in my hips after walking some distance and standing at work. The doctor said he thought it was arthritis and after getting me into some quite painful wrestling manoeuvres ( honestly, knees on chest and wrenched from side to side) he confirmed it but decided I needed an MOT starting with the blood tests. When I went back for the results, he told me there was good news and bad news. The bad news...my blood pressurs high, my cholesterol is high and my thyroid has crashed. The good news is my arthritis is osteo and not rheumatoid. Such a lovely man lol. Nothing too serious that can be controlled with medication but...it is now official...my body is a wreck lol.
Oh the joys of getting older!

St Lukes Charity Card Challenge...December
Good Morning All!
I hope I find you all well and managing to keep warm now that winter is almost upon us.
As it`s the first of the month, we have a brand new challenge for you at St Lukes Charity Card Challenge.
We want your Christmas cards again but this time it`s... LET IT SNOW
Snowflakes, icicles, polar bears, penguins and snowmen- anything cold and frosty.
Don`t forget we would like you, if you can spare it, to donate your card to this very worthy cause to raise much needed funds for the hospice. We have another fabby prize this month for the overall winner too.
Our design teammate Deborah has donated a set of Waltzing Mouse Dainty Doilies stamps, how wonderful is that?
Here is my little bit of inspiration.
It`s a terrible photograph, I`ve had to take it using my photo lamps and editing it but it`s still awful. Sorry!
All the papers are Me to You Winter Wonderland. They are gorgeous papers and most of them are glittered too.
The snowman is from a set by Anita`s stamped in Memento black and coloured with Promarkers. I`ve added Glamour Dust to parts of the snowman and his hat.
The snowflakes are punched from white glitter card.
If I get the time I`ll take a better pic in daylight.

Less is More...A Bit of Bling.
Hello folks.
Can I start by saying massive apologies for being MIA all last week. Work has been mega busy in the run up to Christmas and then ofcourse it was Alan`s birthday on Wednesday and mine on friday so we`ve had lots of visitors and time has just whizzed by. Lame excuse I know and I am sorry.
This week on Less is More is a theme.
This should have been a breeze but my mojo has done a runner. This is the third card I`ve made and the only one I`m remotely happy with. Not only that but it`s a rubbish piccy as well. The lights bad and no amount of fiddling with the photo editing has made it any better.
Really simple OLC.
The sentiment is by Papermania Silent Night set stamped in Versacolor Cyan and embossed in clear EP.
The snow flakes are a mixture of Inkadinkado and Anita`s stamped in Versacolor Heliotrope, Orchid and Mint also embossed in clear EP and I`ve added a gem to the middles.
It does look so much better IRL and I didn`t want to miss a week.
As I said it was my birthday on friday and I recieved some fabulous cards from the design team girls at St Lukes Charity Card Challenge. As soon as I get time I`ll take a piccy and show them, they are all gorgeous. What a fab bunch you all are.

Less is More wk 42...Silhouettes
Good afternoon all!
It`s a theme week at Less is More and that is to use silhouettes on our creations. My first thought was to run for the hills but after a quick look in my stamp drawers I realised I have loads of silhouette type stamps.Panic over! lol.
It will be Alan`s (hubby) birthday on wednesday and he usually gets a footie related card from me so I thought I`d be unpredictable this year and I`ve made him this one...
Guitar and sentiment stamps from Inkadinkado Rock Star set.
I stamped the guitar and cut out a long rectangle then used my new (and not very good) corner rounder punch.
The sentiment is stamped straight onto the card. I used Versafine Onyx Black but it kept pooling on the stamp so I cleaned the stamp, gave it a quick pat with some clear embossing and then used Versafine over the top and it`s worked a treat.
The music paper is some I downloaded ages ago and can`t remember where from, sorry, matted onto some amber card to add some colour and also because Alan`s footie team play in black and amber and I couldn`t not have something football related now could I?
Right, I`m off for a coffee and a warm up now. I`ll catch up with you all soon.

St Lukes Mid Month Reminder
Hello Friends!
Just a quick post from me to remind you that this months challenge at St Lukes
is halfway through (well almost). As it`s November we want you to share your Christmas cards with us and don`t forget we have a fantastic prize for the winner from Lili of the Valley too.
We would also be extremely grateful if you could donate your card to this worthy cause. There is going to be a Chritmas fayre on the 27th November where Tara will be selling all the donated cards. Details are on the main blog.
Just to get you in the mood I`ve made this card.
Cream pearlescent card cut to make a 5x5. I`ve used DP from Papermania Silent Night Collection matted onto burgundy card. On the green paper I`ve stamped and embossed in gold a Holly Flourish stamp from Inkadinkado in top left and bottom right corners.I`ve also swiped my embossing pad along the edges and embossed in gold.
The text paper has some gold foiling on and is matted onto burgundy card that has been punched with a MS border punch.
I`ve added a ribbon and bow which match perfectly with the lattering on the text paper, along with a die cut star which I`ve glittered in gold and some gold cord.
The sentiment is by Anita`s, also stamped and embossed in gold and cut out with a nestie circle and matted onto burgundy card cut out with a nestie scalloped circle.
As all the DP and some of the card is from my snippet box, I`m also entering this one into Jules Crafty Snippets Challenge # 45. I haven`t had the chance to join in with Jules for a couple of weeks so I was determined to get one in early this week. You never know I might even got another one done...

Less is More #41 Leaves.
Hello All!
First of all can make massive apologies for my lack of blogging and commenting this past week. Time has just ran away from me. I do hope none of you were holding your breath for my second LiM card either, you might be a strange purple colour by now. I did make one, just didn`t have time to photograph it in daylight, grr.
I`d also like to welcome my new followers, Hi and thank you for choosing my blog to follow.
Right, onto this weeks challenge at Less is More which is a one layer card using leaves.
At last, a card I`m really pleased with.
I used off white card from Papermill Direct cut to 5x5. Using a rectangle nestie I`ve embossed in the centre and masked that off using post it`s.
The background colour is Versacolor Sand Beige sponged on.
The leaves are a mixture of Papertrey Inc, Hero Arts and My Minds Eye stamped in Versacolor Evergreen, Brown,Marigold, Orange and Burgundy.
The sentiment is Flourishes Tag Lines stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.
Hopefully I`ll get to do a lot more commenting this week, there are already some fabulous entries, not least from Mandi and Chrissie with their beautiful inspiration cards.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

Less is More # 40
Hello folks!
The theme for this weeks challenge at Less is More is Bonfire Night. In the UK, the 5th November is the night we commemorate Guy Fawkes and his pals trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament. We have huge bonfire parties and fireworks galore. So, as this week is a colour week we are asked to use Red and Orange to represent flames and fireworks. Yippee think me, my favourite colours all on one card. If only my mojo hadn`t gone into hibernation.
Here is what I came up with, I`m sure there`ll be more to follow.
I`m not 100% happy with it but then, when am I? lol.
I randomly stamped Waltzing Mouse Big Blooms Chrysanthemums in orange, marigold and magenta onto a strip of paper then matted it onto some orange card. Punched one edge with a Fiskars punch and left a thin border on the other edge.
I`ve added a Martha Stewart punched butterfly in red card.
The sentiment is from 2 different stamp sets, the birthday is Layers of Color and the wishes is Waltzing Mouse.
I`m hoping to finish another one today but the way things are going don`t hold your breath.
As you know I changed my hours at work from afternoons to mornings with the hope that I would have more time to spare. No chance. The shop has been really busy so I have been given extra hours, which I must admit have come in very handy but I`ve been so tired that crafting has taken a back seat. I used to `Do` for my dad on a wednesday morning and that has had to change to a saturday which means I`m now working a 6 day week. It`s only until the Christmas rush is over and then, hopefully I`ll get a day off during the week and I`m sure that once I get into the swing of things I`ll be able to organise myself better but in the meantime my posts might be a bit eratic. Sorry about that.

Thanks for popping in ...Lynne xxx

St Lukes November Challenge
Good Morning All.
I hope you are all recovered from the halloween celebrations and are not still looking over your shoulders in case of ghosties and ghoulies lol.
As it`s the 1st of November it`s time for another challenge at St Lukes Charity Card Challenge.
As the big day is looming ever faster we thought what better than " Deck the Halls" Make any sort of Christmas card, any design, any theme. What could be simpler?
We have a fabulous prize this month too. 2 fantastic stamps from Lily of the Valley, how cool is that.
Naturally, the title of this challenge didn`t sink in with me and I made a snowman card ( I blame my age) lol.
Really simple, all the DP are by Dovecraft.
Frankie the Snowman is by Creative Expressions. Stamped in Memento black, I`ve coloured his hat and scarf with Promarkers, added a bit of Glamour Dust to parts of his body to highlight and some blackpearls down his front. The sentiment is part of a stamp by Anita`s
Don`t forget you can donate your cards to the hospice to raise much needed funds.

Less is More wk 39 Stars.
Happy Sunday Everyone!
I hope I find you all well. This week is Lucky Dip week at Less is More with the theme to use Stars.
Mmmm, I struggled a bit this week mainly because my inspiration was sadly lacking. I made my first card but I`m not entirely happy with it so I made another with one eye on X factor. Which probably explains the fact that there`s nothing paricularly exciting about either of them lol.
The stars are by Anita`s and the sentiment is Waltzing Mouse, all stamped in Memento Bahama Blue.
I`ve added some gems to the stars to give them a bit of bling and a sheer ribbon to finish.
It`s not quite what was in my head so I made this one aswell,
I really didn`t want to use a tree stamp as both Mandi and Chrissie have in their examples but I was fast running out of idea`s. I am quite pleased with the look of this one though.
The tree is Chocolate Baroque (Elusive Images) stamped and embossed in detail silver EP.
Then I`ve simply added some star shaped gems to the tree with a larger one at the top. Cut out the image and matted onto some pink card.
The sentiment is Papermania Silent Night set stamped in Versafine Onyx black.

Traditional Christmas Trio
Good Afternoon All!
As promised, here are another three cards that I`ve CASED from Sharon Johnson at No time to stamp?
This time using more traditional papers.
All the papers are from a Dovecraft Pack that I`ve had for a couple of years and not really used until now.
This time I`ve matted onto silver mirror card. The sentiment is by Rubbadubbado Winter Church set, stamped in clear ink and embossed in detail silver EP then cut out with a rectangle nestie.
Do follow the link and check out Sharons blog, you`ll be in for a treat.

Classy Christmas Trio
Good Evening All!
I`ve beenstalking catching up with Sharon Johnson on her blog No Time To Stamp? for a very long time, long before I ever had my own blog. I love her simple style and her use of papers and ribbons. In fact I`m convinced that it is because of Sharon that I started using ribbons on my own cards. If you think my bows are good, you really want to see hers...oh and the ribbons she uses are devine. Sharon has her own ribbon store too with a fabulous selection.
Anyway, the point I`m trying to get to is that Sharon and some of her blogging friends have been having a " 12 days of Christmas" blog feast this last week or so. On monday (24th) Sharon showed a trio off beautiful CaS cards that I asked if I could CASE. Here is my take on Sharons cards,
Now I know when CASing that you are supposed to change the look of the card, and I have, obviously, used different papers and a different text stamp but these are so simple that, that is all that can be altered really. Apart from that, it was the layout of the cards that appealed to me.
This one uses a beautiful gold foiled paper with cranberry stripes. I`ve matted it onto gold mirror card, leaving a border along the edge. The sentiment is by Anita`s, stamped in Cranberry ink and embossed in clear EP then cut out with a nestie rectangle.
This one uses paper from the same pack ( Papermania SilentNight Collection) in cranberry and muted green. Also matted onto gold mirror card.
Finally, from the same pack is this stylised poinsettia which is raised and slightly glittered, again matted onto gold.
All of these cards are perfect for mass producing and are very quick and easy to make. I think these are the one`s I`ll be sending out to the neighbours this year.
I`ll be back tomorrow with some of the same but made with very different papers.

Jules crafty snippets wk 42
Good evening all!
I had intended to post these cards in last weeks Snippets challenge but things got in the way (read previous post for details).
I started off making one card then realised that I had naughtily cut into at least 2 of each of these sheets giving me some quite large snippets so I got carried away and made 6.
The stamp is one I`ve had for years and is from Anita`s. I`ve simply coloured with Promarkers and added some Art Glitter to the baubles and stars.
The DP is Dovecraft that I`ve also had for along time. I`ve just done variations with different EF and paper placements. Really quick and easy for mass producing.
The sentiment is another Anita`s set, Magical Christmas.
On Jules blog she has come up with a really good idea. She wants us to check our stats and see our most popular post, then, if we want to, show that post again. Well here is mine. It was quite a surprise really, I never dreamed it would be this card that had the most views. To find yours all you have to do is go to stats, look at the posts column and click on `all time`. The most viewed will be at the top of the list.

Less is More wk #38 Polka Dots
Good afternoon all!.
Well my plan to change my hours at work to give me more free time seems to have backfired on me. All was going so well until thursday when my son, who is still off work with his bad leg and bored silly, decided that seeing as I had a free afternoon, would visit me. All very nice and I love to see him but then he wanted his old pc tower bringing down from the loft so he could put all his music from there onto disc. Ofcourse that meant he had to borrow my screen and speakers which meant me taking it all apart and carrying it down because he can`t get up the ladders with his leg brace on. This also meant that I couldn`t get onto my PC to download piccies. On top of that he brought a bag load of washing for me to do because his in laws was out of action. It`s a good job I love him to bits.
Then on friday one of the afternoon staff rang in sick so I was asked to work a double shift.I must admit the money will come in very handy but, golly was I tired? Eight hours of standing in the same position is not good for my back lol.
So, after a slow start and the rebuilding of my PC I finally got around to making a card for this weeks
Less is More Challenge which is to use Polka Dots.
I love polkadots so it wasn`t really a challenge for me. I did finish it last night but then wasn`t happy with my flower so I`ve had to change it this morning which is why I`m so late posting.
Really simple card. 5x5 white card base. The dotty DP is Pinkpetticoat matted onto bright pink card and punched along the bottom.
The leaf die is by Marrianne designs in black card.
The flower is bright pink card, cut out with nestie scallop circle die then run through the corrugater a few times to weaken it and seperated into 2 pieces, then embossed with the swiss dots folder. All held together with a brad. I didn`t have a black brad so I coloured a pink one with a permanant marker.
The sentiment is by Layers of Colour stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.
And there you have it.
It`s flippin` freezing in the loft today so I`m off for a coffee and a warm up. Catch up with you all soon.

Jules Crafty Snippets wk 41
Good Afternoon All!
Another quick post today so I can share a card I made for Jules Crafty Snippets wk 41.
The main DP is a bit left over from a Forever Friends decoupage kit, matted onto pink card.
The strip is one of many pieces I still have in the box form a Papermania pack ( I think) also matted onto pink card.
The image is one of only two Penny Black stamps I own and really must rectify. I love this stamp, it`s so versatile and I just love the way his (her) spikes are sticking through the hammock lol. Coloured in Promarkers with a tiny bit of Glamour Dust on the Bee`s wings. The image is cut out with a circle nestie and matted onto a pink Lacey Circle.
The sentiment is by Anita`s, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.
I`ve added a ribbon too and was going to put a bow onto it but then discovered there wasn`t enough room Doh!
I`ve changed my hours at work this week, so instead of doing afternoons, I`m now doing mornings starting at 9. I`m still trying to get into a routine but hopefully once I`m sorted I`ll have more time to myself and that means more time for crafting. Fingers crossed!

CR84FN #40
Hello Everyone.
I hope you`re enjoying your sunday. It`s certainly got a bit nippier in my neck of the woods but still a lovely bright day. Don`t think it`s going to last much longer though(sigh).
I thought I`d share my entry for this fortnights cr84fn Challenge with you today.
This is the inspiration we have been given and a colour pallette of Red, Kraft and Brown.
I`ve used a brown base card (5x5) and matted a script paper from Pink Petticoat onto it.
My Poinsettia is from Creative Stamping and is a Mandalla stamp. I stamped the image 4 times in Cranberry ink onto red card and cut it out, decreasing the petals each time then built it up using foam pads.
This pic shows the depth of the flower afterwards. I gently curled the petals with my fingers beforehand. Some yellow flatback pearls have been added to the centre.
I cut a strip of Kraft card, stamped my sentiment from Anita`s in Versafine Onyx Black, matted onto some brown card and cut it leaving a slim border.
I`m rather pleased with this one. Quite a simple card but with a bit of POP.

Less is More wk 37...Cocktails
Good afternoon all!
By heck, what a challenge the Diva`s have set for us this week at Less is More.
Cocktails.
Since I`ve been playing along regularly with this challenge I`ve begun to realise some things about myself and Chrissie and Mandi have given us a link to a site that tells us about our personalities by our name. Well I clicked on it 3 times and it said different things each time and non of it relates to me, I`ll explain why...
When I first saw this weeks challenge I wasn`t sure I had a cocktail glass stamp or not so I thought I`d google cocktail names and recipes to see if I did have anything I could use as a play on words. Now I already know that I am the most UNsophisticated person in blogland and probably the most unworldly, apart from the odd gin sling or martini and lemonade, I just don`t do cocktails. Having said that, we once went back back to a friends house after a night out and she showed us her cocktail making skills. Trouble was I drank so many of them I can`t remember what they were, can`t really remember getting home either lol. Anyway, I digress, there I am reading through the names of cocktails and I have to admit to being shocked at some of the names. I mean, how do you go up to a cocktail waiter and ask for a...no, sorry, might get chucked off blogger.Lol.
So I`ve made my own version of the little quiz thingy,
1 part unsophisticated
2 parts unworldly
3 parts prude
Put your slippers on and enjoy a cup of coffee instead.
All joking aside some of them really did make me blush. So I decided I`d go with the Little Black Dress look and made this card.
After all that slack jawed shock and blushing,I found I did have a cocktail stamp afterall. It`s by Papermania and is from the Joyeux Noel collection.
Stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, I added a sentiment from Papermania Chatsworth set and cut out with a nestie oval die.
I cut a strip of white card the same width as my base card, matted it onto some black paper and added a ribbon and bow.

St Lukes Mid Month Memory Jogger
Good Morning All!
I`m back with a quick reminder that the challenge at St Lukes Charity Card Challenge is " Lets Hear It For The Boys". We want you to make masculine cards this month, any design, any occasion and for any male.
I`ve gone with a really simple card today. The DP, I think is by Dovecraft and is perfect for this type of card as the patterns loook like cogs.
The Stamp is by Hero Arts, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and embossed in clear EP.
No sentiment so it can be used for anyone and any occasion.
Don`t forget we have a fabulous prize to award our winner this month, and if you could spare your card or any other you may have, you can donate them to the St Lukes Charity for sale to raise much needed funds.
The address is on the sidebar on the main blog

Less is More # 36 Hearts x 2
Good morning all!
I found a card that I made for Less is More " In the Frame" quite a few weeks ago that I didn`t post at the time. Somehow it didn`t seem quite right for that particular challenge but it fits quite nicely into this weeks `Hearts` theme.
The stamp is from Chocolate Baroque ( Elusive Images) Mother`s Day set, stamped and embossed in detail silver EP and coloured with Promarkers.
The sentiment is by Flourishes (ofcourse)
Sorry it`s not the best photo and I`ve tried editing it but it`s still not quite sharp enough.

Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #32
Good Evening All!
It`s a late post from me today, I just coudn`t seem to get going. Not a lot of mojo in the loft this morning but I was determined to make a card as Sunday is the only full day I have to craft. It`s going to be Alan`s sister Christines birthday in a couple of weeks so I thought I`d get that done nice and early but didn`t have a clue what to do. I couldn`t decide on a layout, colour scheme or even which stamps to use, so I went challenge hopping.
And found Chupa`s Sketchbook Saturday Challenge over on Random Acts of Creativity.
Here is the sketch she provided for us,
And here is my take on it.
Both DP`s are Papermania but from 2 different sets, the orange one is Capsule Collection Sunshine pack and I`m not sure about the mocha one. Both are matted onto brown card.
The scalloped circle (nestie) is also cut out of brown card. The stamp is Flourishes Orchid set, coloured with Promarkers and cut out ( with scissors lol).
The sentiment is computer generated onto pale cream card and cut out with a nestie Labels 4 die.
I`ve added a pale golden yellow ribbon and I managed to find a matching brad in my stash. A piece of string, tied in a bow to finish.
I`m also going to enter this one into Jules Crafty Snippets Challenge wk 40 as all the DP and most of the card are from my snippet boxes

Less is More #36 ...One Layer Hearts
Good Afternoon All!
It`s LiMday once again, how the weeks are flying, and as it`s the second saturday of the month it has to be One Layer Day. This week at Less is More we are asked to make a one layer card using a heart or hearts with little or no embellishment.
I hadn`t realised how many heart stamps I had, must be getting sloppy in my old age lol. So I`ve gone mad and made 3. ( actually I made 4 but one is in the bin). I thought I`d put them all in one post to save your poor fingers.
First up is made with stamps from Chocolate Baroque With Love From Me To You set. I stamped and embossed the first heart in detail silver EP, then masked it and stamped and embossed the second. Did the same with the sentiment. Added a red heart gem to finish.
Second is a stamp from Papermania Confetti collection.Stamped in Versacolor Burgundy. The sentiment is from the same set. This was my second attempt with this stamp as it left a small gap in the middle but it did the same on this one so I`ve hidden it with a clear heart gem.
And last but not least is this very CaS one. Also from the Chocolate Baroque With Love set simply stamped in Memento Lady Bug. The sentiment is by Flourishes, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.
I might have another go during the week but I`m having my hours changed at work (hopefully) so might not have time. We`ll see.
Thanksfor popping in...Lynne xxx

Playdate Cafe #102
Hi All!
Brrr it`s a bit chilly here today. Bright and sunny but definitely Autumn. I have a quick post again today to show a card I`ve made for this weeks challenge at The Playdate Cafe where we have been given this spooky colour scheme.
We don`t really celebrate Halloween here and personally I don`t know of anyone that does. Having said that, the amount of Halloween stuff we`re selling in the shop tells me that alot of people do.
Anyway I used the colours and came up with this un-spooky creation.
The main DP is by Dovecraft and I`ve had it for ages and not really used it until now. I`ve matted that onto some purple card.
The green strip of DP is by Papermania, also matted onto purple card.
The sentiment is by Layers of Colour stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and cut out witha nestie labels 4 die.
I`ve added a cerise ribbon and bow and some purple gems to the flower middles.
That`s it for today, see you over the weekend.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx
