Mother's day card

Hello there,

Sadly this was the first Mother's day without my mum. It felt strange only making the one card.
Fortunately we still have hubby's mum with us although at 94 and very frail we don't know for how much longer. The family, which is hubby, his 3 sisters, their partners and me took mum in law for a meal yesterday. It also meant that we all got a mothers day without the hassle of cooking a Sunday dinner and no pots to wash either. Bonus!
Ofcourse I made a fussy card with spring colours and lots of flowers.

I used tiny hearts from The Lovely Studio in Dainty Daffodil for the background
The frame is a Spellbinder Die, Gold Labels 4.
Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The sentiment is by Flourishes
I made a larger card than I usually do, an A5 instead of a 15x 15 square and the frame fits very nicely on it.

Thanks for popping in x

Mothers Day cards

Hi,
Well twice in one week, things are on the up.

I have two Mothers day cards to share today. Both the same design but different coloured background papers.

I received a new camera for my birthday in November and a Laptop for Christmas and I'm still trying to get used to both of them. Between them and a new photo editing app I'm not doing very well at the moment.
This is the best pic I've managed.
The front card is actually Pale sage green but looks a bit gray to me.

And this one is yellow. It shows better in the previous pic.

The papers are Pink Petticoat, Pin stripes and Brocade.
The doily is by Marianne Designs with the centre cut out with a Spellbinders circle nestie.
The sentiment is Layers of Colour stamped and embossed in gold and silver EP
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

It's going to rain all day tomorrow so I'm hoping to get some more crafty time in.

Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

For Mum in Law

Hi There
Another flying visit from me to share the card I made for Alan`s mum for Mothers day.

I cut the Catalina Wreath by Memory Box 3 times, once in pale green and twice in pink and turned each one slightly before stacking them.
The leaves are by Sizzix and the Flutter Vine is Memory Box, both cut out in the pale green.
The Chloe stem is cut in pink with added pearls.
The flowers are from my stash and the sentiment is PC generated cut out with a nestie oval.
It looked a bit heavy on the left side so I cut a butterfly with a Martha Stewart punch and added some really tiny pearls.
The DP is pink Petticoat Brocade printed in Silver and faded on the PC.

I wasn`t sure about this one. The pink card I used is brighter than I intended but the only paler pink I have tends to be a salmony pink and the butterfly makes it look a bit twee but Alans mum was happy with it and thats what matters.

Hi there,
Flying in to share the card I made for my mum for mothers day.

The DP for both the background and the tag are by Prima Fairy Belle collection which was a freebie in a card mag.
The leaf die is Marianne designs.
Sentiment is Chocolate Baroque.
Flowers and ribbon from my stash.
A really quick card but with some impact I think

Simply Less is More # 109

Afternoon All!

And I`m back to posting on a sunday ... that didn`t last long did it?

We have a fabulous colour challenge this week at Simply Less is More,

Not only are the colours gorgeous but those donuts look delicious, mmmm.

I made a really quick card with no stamping at all but I`m rather pleased with it. In fact I was so pleased I made another one in different colours.

This first one is my entry for Less is More.
I used cream card ( 6x6) and printed the Mum on the computer.
I cut the hearts out with a Sizzix die and placed them using foam pads
The DP are from various pads but mainly Papermania.
This one is done the same as the first but with a white card base and different DP.

So that`s my Mothers day cards sorted, just got 2 left from last weeks order to finish off and I`m done for now.
