A book card and a new grand baby

Hello there

On Friday31st May my daughter in law presented us with our latest Grand baby, a beautiful girl called Emilia. She is my sons first baby so he is chuffed to bits.

I've been to see her and we have enjoyed cuddles. Oooh I just want to squeeze her.

Anyway I made a book card for Emilia. I like to make  these as they're more of a keepsake and I love to put some information in them, date, time and weight

Backing papers are Tiny Treasures by Lemoncraft
Doily die by Marianne designs
Flowers by Wild Orchid crafts

Less is More #391

Hello there,

It's time for another challenge at Less is More and this time we have;

e.g. take 3 words or 3 images or 3 colours, or 3 patterns (something where you have 3 of an item)

I've gone a bit mad with the 3's on my card.

So, I've got 3 die cut leaves from Simply Graphic
3 shades of green all cut from snippets from my stash
and 3 words on the sentiment which is from Papertrey Ink Autumn Abundance set
The circle is from another snippet of a paper from Lemoncraft Tiny Miracles set die cut with a stitched circle.

I'm also entering this into Pixies snippet playground because of the snippets I've used and also because I promised myself weeks ago that I would start joining in the fun again.

Happy news

Hello there,

A much more uplifting post than my previous two.
My niece Lucy gave birth to her second daughter, Millie Rose at 12:01 on New Years day. Although it's not confirmed, we think she was the first baby to be born in the country this year. Millie had a traumatic entry into the world when it was discovered that the chord was wrapped around her neck three times and mum Lucy had internal bleeding. An emergency Ceasarian was performed and Millie was born with no problems at all, thank goodness. We were really pleased, and very impressed, when Lucy managed to get to mum's funeral a week later and brought Millie with her. It really did lift everyone's spirits on the day.

Ofcourse I made a card.
I used a gorgeous paper from Lemoncraft, Tiny Miracles
The backing paper is pink with stars and I used a second paper with dots for the letters and daisies.
The tags are made with unnamed dies and the daisies are punched.
The letters are dies from Yvonne Creations.
Finished off with some very slim ribbon that started out as hangers on a blouse.

Card for Sabine.

Hello there,

It was my future daughter in law's birthday last week and today they've told us a little secret.I'm not allowed to mention anything just yet but a scan at 12 weeks is involved. I'm so excited but ofcourse I'm sworn to secrecy 😄

Anyway I have a card to share,

I've used a gorgeous background paper from Lemoncraft, Tiny Miracles pad.
Frame is simply made using nested circles from Spellbinders.
Leaf dies are from The Works
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I might just have to browse through the knitting patterns now the dark nights are drawing in...
