Simply Less is More # 103

Good afternoon all.
I hope I find you well and managing to stay cosy in this very wintery weather we`re having here in the UK.
I`m still struggling with my mojo for some reason but I didn`t want to miss another week at Simply Less is More where the theme this week is FRIENDS.

Not the most inspiring card, I would normally use this image for a few more layers and frills but it fits the bill I think.
Image is Flourishes Summer Blossoms coloured with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens.
The sentiment is also by Flourishes but from the Geber daisy set ( and I`ve cut it up yikes).
I`ve embossed a circle around the image with a nestie circle die.

I`ve been to a Ross Papercraft show this morning and bought a few goodies so hopefully this will bring Mr Mojo back.

Simply Less is More # 102

Hello Everyone...I`m back.

...bet you thought I`d disappeared off the  face of the earth didn`t you? I`ll explain the why`s and wherefors after I`ve shared my card for this weeks Less is more challenge.
I can`t believe I`ve missed a whole month of these challenges and after joining in every one since the beginning too. This week Chrissie and Jen want Sports and Exercise and it`s one layer week too.

I got this digi image from Just Inklined ages ago but this is the first time I`ve used him. Love the look of determination on his face.
Coloured with a mix of Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens. The sentiment is computer generated.
I had my bike stolen from the shed about 5 years ago and I do miss it, not that I raced or even pedalled very fast but it`s a darn sight faster than walking.

Anyway, onto my unexpected absence. Just after I posted my last card I had a really bad dizzy spell that lasted about 10 minutes but felt like hours. It scared the hell out of me, especially as I felt quite light headed for a few days afterwards. So I went to visit the doctor and my blood pressure was sky high. She`s given me pills and after further tests it`s coming down nicely so all`s well. The trouble was, my mojo took fright and ran for the hills so not much crafting was done at all.
Then the weekend between Christmas and new year both me and Alan picked up a dose of Norovirus ( gastroenteritis). You really didn`t want to be in our house that weekend lol. So that`s it really. I decided to rearrange the craftroom to try to bring Mr Mojo back which took a lot longer than it should have and I think it`s starting to work. At least I`m actually sitting in the craftroom now so fingers crossed.

That just leaves me to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR and I hope you all had a lovely Christmas too. Sorry it`s a bit late.

Can I be a boring grandma and show you this pick of Ruby at Christmas?
We bought her the nurse outfit and a medical kit as she`s decided that she wants to be a nurse when she grows up. I got quite emotional when she reeled off the name of every piece of equipment in the medical kit and she knew what to do with it all, bless her.
Look at the tree. Ruby decorated it and that`s as far as she could reach with the tinsel. Love it!

Right waffle over. I`m so pleased to be back and I wont leave it so long next time.

Simply Less is More # 97

Whoa, bad blogger that I am I haven`t been near the computer for what seems like an age. Too much to do and no time to do it I`m afraid. Anyway, better late than never with this weeks ONE LAYER challenge at
Simply Less is More where Chrissie and Jen are asking for IN A ROW.

It`s my bosses birthday on friday so I`ve used this as an excuse to get away from the endless Christmas cards that I never have enough of ;-)

I`ve used digi images from Pink Petticoat
Mini Diva Doodles set, cropped and lined up in my editing program.
I coloured the flowers with Spectrum noir pens and added a touch of glamour dust and a couple of scored lines.
The sentiment is computer generated.

Right, that`s it from me today. We have a heavy frost outside and it`s flippin` freezing up in the loft so I`m off before I get hyperthermia :-)

Jingle Bells

Good Morning All!

Another quickie.

These cards were inspired by Jen from her DT card for Less is More last week.

All much of a muchness ( similar Darnell lol).
The bells are from a local haberdashery store.
I embossed the panels using 2x candy Cane folder and 2x Snowflakes folder matted onto matching coloured card. The bells are tied with either Twine or gold cord.
The sentiment is by Creative Expressions.
Nice and simple but I like `em.

Thank you

Morning All!

My posts this week are going to be very short and sweet I`m afraid. Lots to do and no time to do it, story of my life ;-)

Alan`s eldest sister was a manager for the company that he works for and when she died a couple of weeks ago we received some lovely cards and letters from various departments, one even from the managing director. Alan asked me to make thank you cards for everyone so I made a batch, all the same to send.

I seem to be using this frame style rather a lot lately but I do love it.
I used the small sunflower from Flourishes, made a mask and inked the background in Memento Bahama Blue .
Then I coloured the flower with Promarkers.
The sentiment is from There she goes.

Twins are twice as nice

Morning All!

One of the lads at work has just become the proud Daddy of twins, a boy and a girl, perfect. Naturally I had to make a card.

The image is from LOTV coloured with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens.
Cut out with a nestie oval and matted onto a scalloped oval in lemon.
The gingham DP is by Pink Petticoat.
I added a strip of lemon card which I embossed with the Swiss Dots folder and also some stars cut out with a X Cut nested die and also using the Swiss Dots.
I`ve added glitter to the scales to give it a bit of sparkle.
Normally I would have added flowers but  the stars seemed more appropriate for the boy
.

Simply Less is More # 96

Good morning all!

I hope you are all well and managing to keep warm.
A quick post from me today as I`ve loads to do. The run up to Christmas is manic in the shop so I`m doing almost full time hours now which doesn`t leave much time for crafting let alone housework.

Anyway...The challenge this week at Simply Less is More is a colour challenge and in true festive spirit ( and to help with those last minute christmas cards) the colours are, RED & GREEN.

I made the first card on thursday but didn`t post it so thought I`d cheat a bit but now I`m not sure about the inky background. What do you think?

I like the card but I think the inking is too yellow. So.. I made another one...
But now I`m not sure about this one. Should have stuck to the original design I think.

Stamp...Holly Swirl by Inkadinkado
Inks.......Memento Dandelion, Versacolor Fresh Green, Evergreen. TH DI Shabby Shutters, Antique Linen
Clear embossing ink and dark green EP.
Sentiments...Chocolate Baroque Deck the Halls set and Creative Expressions
Red gems from stash
