Good Morning to you all!
The sun is shining and all`s well with the world! (well it is here anyway).
It`s tuesday trigger time again over at Moxiefab World.
and I couldn`t wait to get cracking. This is the inspiration we were given
and here is my version.
I`ve used the same technique for the flowers as I did in my last post but this time I wanted smaller flowers.
As I said the only scallop edge punch I have is a 3`` jumbo punch so I had a little think and practice and came up with these.
Instead of a scalloped edge I just a small circle with a circle nestie, then trimmed around the edge with my deckle edge scissors. Made the flowers up in the same way and Voila, carnations. You do realise you are going to get overdosed on these flowers for some time, lol.
The rest of the card was really simple.
The DP is by Pink Petticoat Elegant Swirls in Turquoise.
I layered it onto some dark apricot card to tie in with the tea cup in the picture.
I used my Swiss Dots folder and a piece of white card then cut a large circle with a nestie.
I cut two ovals in turquoise card to represent the vase in the piccy and used one for the sentiment.
Both the white card and the oval are raised with foam dots.
Well I`ve finally caught up with the aftermath of our holiday. All the washing and ironing is done so we have clothes to wear now, lol. As it`s wednesday today I`m off to see my mum. I`ll catch up with you all later.
Thanks for popping in ...Lynne xxx

Color Throwdown #98
Good Morning All!
And a happy tuesday to you all.
Todays card is for the Color Thrown #98
challenge. This is the colour swatch we were given
And this is my take on it.
I seem to be stealing other peoples ideas alot just lately and for that I appologise ( a little) but don`t they say that initation is the best form of flattery lol.
I got the idea for the flower from Karen
who found a tutorial HERE.
They are so easy to make and look so effective. If I can made them, anyone can. The only problem I had was that it calls for a scalloped edge circle which really should be a spellbinders set because of the different sizes. I only have a jumbo punch which is why my flower is quite large.
I am, however, working on some more that I have made slightly differently and I will post them later.
The DP is Pink Petticoat Dots in Olive which is the nearest I could get to Moss. I`ve used a Martha Stewart Doily punch along the bottom just to give it an edge.
Some Chocolate brown ribbon and a bow to even it out.
The sentiment is by Papertrey and cut out with Spellbinders Labels 4 die.
If you look carefully, there are 2 leaves poking out of the flower. I used an embossing border bar from the Glitter Girls to dry emboss in moss card and cut them out.

Lace Frame
Hi All! I`m back.
We had a fabulous week. The weather was amazing and I would like to thank you all for your kind wishes regarding the weather because I`m sure it made a difference. We had some lovely trips out to the North Yorkshire Moors and Dalby Forest. Visited some smashing little towns and villages and saw some amazing sights. No photos unfortunetly, we passed a field full of beautiful red poppies that I would have loved to take a piccy of but doing 60 in the car isn`t good for photography. I also didn`t get as much crafting in as I usually do.
I did manage to make one card though that is a tale in itself.
I saw this way of working with borderbilities on Becca Feeken`s
fabulous blog. That girl must have a degree in engineering because believe me matching these corners up and getting the pattern right took me, with an enormous amount of help from hubby, a heck of a long time. We worked on it on and off for three days before I was happy and even then when we got back and I rechecked Becca`s it`s not quite right.
Anyway here is my card .
I`m entering it into this weeks Our Creative Corner.
which luckily for me is asking for us to cool down with blues and greens.
The gorgeous DP is by Shabby Princess and I love it to bits.
The frame is a Spellbinders Borderbilities.
The sentiment is stamped in Versacolor baby blue and heat embossed.
Because my corners are no where near as neat as Becca`s I`ve punched some flowers out of white paper and added a pale blue flat backed pearl.
Now I have an idea of how to do these frames and where I went wrong, I will have another go but not just yet lol.

FTL # 95
Good Morning All!
And a happy Saturday to you all.
A very quick post today as we should be leaving in about an hour. I just had time to make a very quick card to enter into the Clean and Simple challenge for this week. This is the sketch we were given.
And this is my take on it.
Not a lot of stamping, I made a flower template in 3 sizes on the computer and then cut 2 of each size in the dotty paper.
The dotty DP is by Pink Petticoat but I manipulated it on the comp to get a brighter blue.
I added a bit more of the same dotty paper with a scalloped edge.
A piece of white ribbon, a bow and a clear gem brad on the flower and thats it.
The sentiment is a stamp by Papertrey.
Sorry it`s so short but I`m rareing to go now. The weather isn`t too good at the moment but the forecast is for better, so fingers crossed.
How I`m going to get through a week of no blog hopping I don`t know but I`m sure I`ll survive lol. Catch up with you all next week.

Fantasy Butterflies
Happy Thursday All!
It`s another beautiful sunny day here, I just hope it lasts into next week.
Well I enjoyed making my card for the Clean and Simple Challenge.
this week so much that I`ve made another one.
I`m also entering this one into the Tuesday Trigger Challenge.
which has this amazing trigger to inspire us.
Another really simple card to make.
The DP is by Shabby Princess.
The butterflies are from Elusive Images and I`ve coloured them with plain old pencil crayons. I stamped one and cut out the circle with a Spellbinders circle die, then stamped the other and cut it out.
I cut another circle in bright blue and raised it with foam pads.
The sentiment is, ofcourse, by Papertrey.
Not sure if I`ll get to post any more this week but I`m taking loads of craft stuff away with me (in case of rain) so should have plenty to show when we get back.

Clean and Simple FTL #94
Hello and a happy sunny wednesday all!
A very easy and quick card for this weeks challenge at Clean and Simple.
This is the sketch we were given
And this is my take on it.
I seem to have gone leaf crazy just lately but they make fabulous male cards and that is something that I always struggle with.
The stamp is by Papertrey, turning a new leaf.
I stamped in fresh green and heat embossed with clear EP to give it some gloss.
The DP is by Shabby Princess signature collection and is scrummy (imho)
The sentment is also by Papertrey and stamped in black Stazon.
The image is cut out with a Spellbinders circle die as is the blue backing circle, then raised slightly with foam pads.
Appologies for the photo. The sun is pouring in through the loft window but if I take it into the shade the piccy looks terrible. And yes, that shadow is muck on the window lol. Flipping birds.
We`re going away for the week on Saturday so I`ve been flying about like a mad thing cleaning, washing and ironing and, yes, I washed the windows on monday. After all the fatballs and seed feeders this is how they treat me Lol.
No doubt I`ll be back with another post before we go but in the meantime, enjoy the sun...

2 challenges today.
Happy Sunday All !
Well I think I`ve finally calmed down after yesterdays wonderful event, (no I don`t mean the football).
I have one card today that I`m entering into two challenges. Our Creative Corner.
Which is to to decorate our corners, and Color Throwdown #96.
which has this gorgeous colour combo.
This is my submission ;
I`ve chosen to go quite clean and simple with this one as I felt the colour combo would be a bit gaudy ( even for me lol) to do a big blousy, frilly card.
I started with white hammered card.
I cut a peice of the same card just slightly smaller than the main one but turned it over so it`s plain card and scored two lines along the right side.
The leaf stamp is by Papertrey and is stamped in versacolor fresh green and heat embossed with clear ep to give it some gloss.
The pale orange rose is from a local haberdashery store.
I`ve added some egg yolk yellow ribbon and some pale blue ribbon and a bow over the top.
Some pale blue ribbon across one corner and some flatbacked pearls in the other.
The sentiment is also from Papertrey. I`ve raised the front panel with foam pads to give the whole thing some depth.

Fathers Day
Happy Friday Evening All!
Now I know I told you all that I quite like footy and I do, honest, I watched the opening ceremony this afternoon and the match between South Africa and Mexico. I do, however, like to save my screaming from the sofa for England matches so I`ve grabbed a few minutes to post this card.
I`ve actually cased this one from my blog buddy Vicky .
I`ve used different stamps. These are from My Minds Eye `wild asparagus` set.
And the layout is slightly different.
I stamped the 3 different types of leaves randomly onto a piece of white card, cut it to size and layered onto a piece of dark green card.
I then stamped all the leaves out again and cut them out. I placed them onto the card using foam pads to give it some dimension.
The Dad sentiment is from Rubbadubbado.
Please check out Vicky`s blog, as she has some awsome creations I know you`ll love.

I received this wonderful blog award today from the lovely and very talented Vicky .I am very grateful and deeply honoured, Thank you Vicky.

1, The most important thing to me is my family.
2, I quite like footy
3, We have 2 rescue dogs, Tara and Brian.
4, I am a coffee addict.
5, oh, nearly forgot, I`m quite partial to paper crafting lol.
6, I love to walk in the Yorkshire Dales and wish I could afford to live there.
7, I read alot, mostly crime thrillers.
8, I love watching Shaun the Sheep and Timmy Time on telly. It`s wasted on kids!
9, I don`t drink alot of alcohol but when I do I`m a Lambrini girl (sad or what)
10, I have never been abroad. Too much to see in this country yet.
I want to pass this award on to some of my blogging friends so I`ve chosen, Julie, Irena and Lynn.

A new challenge and a Whoo Hoo!
Happy Wednesday Everyone !
I`ve been looking after Ruby for a couple of hours this morning, phew, you forget how tiring running about after toddlers is. She was as good as gold though I must admit. Her mum sent some alphabet flash cards so she show off how well she`s doing. Already she knows a,b,c and d but gets confused after that but she`s learning her colours now and knows all the primary ones and purple. It just sounds so cute when she says them, not bad for only 22 months eh!
Anyway, enough of me showing off, onto todays card.
I found a new (to me) challenge called Our Creative Corner. which asks for a card showing what summer means to us. I had an urge to go back to a frilly over the top flowery card and so this is the result.
The DP is Papermanias Blueberry Hill.
I stamped a butterfly from Elusive Images and heat embossed with detail silver embossing powder.
Then I cut a circle around the butterfly with a spellbinders circle die. I then carefully cut round the butterfly wings with a craft knife so the wings would stand up.
I coloured the butterfly with H2O`s but I don`t think you can see the proper effect in the pic.
I then added some lace to the card some paper roses from a local haberdashery store and a large bow. The ribbon for the bow actually came free with a pair of pyjamas my MIL got me for Christmas.
Another large rose on the bow just to be fussy.
My very loud whoohoo is because I got an honourary mention in the Colour Throwdown challenge for my card (2 posts down). My whoohoo was even louder than it looks, I was whooing and hooing like a daft kid but I`ve settled down now ( honest).
Just humour me! Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

One card, two challenges and a confession!
Good Morning All!
A Happy wet and miserable Tuesday to you, lol.
I think our summer has gone on strike for a while but hopefully it`ll be back soon. At least while the weather is like this I can get in the loft to craft. Honestly it`s been like a sauna up here some days. It`s an ill wind, as they say...
Today I have made one card to enter 2 challenges the Clean and simple challenge.
and the Cutain Call Challenge # 33.
Here is the inspiration for them both ...
And here is my take on it.
This is my third attempt at what should have been a relatively easy card to make. The first one didn`t stamp properly, the second one had too much white space and, to me, needed something else. I`m still not really happy with this one but I`m at a loss as to what else I can do with it. Maybe it`s because I`m so used to ribbons, bows and frills lol.
A really quick card to make, just navy card matted and layered onto white card.
The stamped leaves are from Papertrey `Turning a new leaf`, and stamped with Versa color Mint and Fresh Green.
The fathers day sentiment is computer generated but the Dad is a stamp from Rubbadubbado.
The pale blue buttons are from Papermania.
And the confession....I caught the edge of the dad stamp with black ink and it left a mark so I`ve had to stick an extra button on to hide it. Well it was my third go...
Our family fun day at the park was wonderful. The weather stayed beautiful for us until after we had got home which was a bonus. It was a family sports day in aid of children in Africa and was very well attended although I must admit we spent more time in the animal enclosure than at the sports.
I was very well behaved ( honest ) as were the rest of the family and it was nice to sit back and observe the grandkids enjoying themselves. Ruby, my youngest grandaughter is 22 months now and was entralled with everything. She loved the animals ( the baby Alpaca had us all oohing and ahing) but had just as much fun running around on the grass and learning new words. Nathan is 11 and just loves anything to do with football. He also idolises his uncle Alan ( my son) . They spent all afternoon kicking a football about and chucking a frisbee and giggling at each other. It`s lovely to see them get on so well especially as there are 14 years between them. And then there`s Charlotte. My beautiful 14 year old grandaughter. She`s at the age now where everythings kicking in. One minute she`s the mother hen taking care of Ruby and the next she`s trying to look cool and sophisticated in front of the teenaged lads playing footy a few yards away. My, it did bring back memories... So all in all we had a great day out, can`t wait for the next one.
Thanks for popping in ..Lynne xxx

Colour throwdown # 95
Happy Sunny Friday All!
It`s another beautiful day here in sunny Hull, got to make the most of it `cos I don`t think it`s going to last. We`ve got a few rainy days forecast but hopefully then summer will start properly :)
It`s been so hot up here in my loft that I have been a bit slow with my creativity this week. I did however manage to make a card for this weeks challenge at Colour throwdown.
This is the swatch they gave us. Gorgeous bright summery colours. I was a bit unsure about the black though
so I only used a tiny bit. This is my card.
I`ve used my Docrafts Whispers Butterflies again, stamped onto acetate this time and heat embossed.
Here is a close up of one of the butterflies.
The DP is by ShabbyPrincess and I`ve layered onto some sky blue card.
I`ve added a piece of bright pink ribbon and I`ve made up a flower with a mixture from my stash, then added a green gem brad to finish.
Some sky blue flat backed pearls to fill the corner and a sentiment from Papertrey stamped in black.
I`m having a day out tomorrow. All the kids and grandkids are going to the local park for a charity family fun day and I`ll be there making sure they don`t get up to mischief ( ha ha).
Thanks for popping in, Lynne xxx

Penny Black Saturday Challenge wk 103
Good Morning and a Happy 1st June.
Well I`m back from my weekend away. It could have been a better weekend but still we`ve had a rest and I must admit Alan needed it much more than me. He had to work friday evening so we didn`t get away until saturday and it rained. My goodness did it rain! Much as I like to hear the sound of gentle raindrops on the caravan roof, I prefer sunshine streaming through the windows lol. And it was really cold aswell, couldn`t believe it after the weekend before when it was too hot. The weather forecast was for sunshine and showers on sunday with a bit of a breeze along the coast. Well we weren`t on the coast and we got black clouds and gales. Breezy...pah! It was so strong at least 2 awnings on the site were ruined and I feel for the people in tents. Usually if we go for a weekend we leave mid afternoon but we were asked to leave at 11 o` clock on monday as the site was really busy. Guess what? ...Brilliant sunshine!
It did, however, give me a chance to do some crafting which is always a good thing and we did still enjoy ourselves, so much so that we are going again in a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed for the weather!
On to my card for today then. I started making this card last week but ran out of time to finish it. Luckily for me the theme for this week at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is in the garden so I just adapted it slightly.
The stamp is PB Nap Time and I love it because it`s so versatile. I`ve coloured with watercolour pencils and cut out with a circle nestie.
The pink spotty paper is Pink Petticoat`s Dots and the green is Pink Petticoat Spring collection.
I`ve added some bright pink dotty ribbon from the Range.
The dark pink flowers are Prima and the white ones are punched out of plain white copy paper. I`ve added some yellow flat backed pearls to match the daisy in the image which I`ve glittered.
Thanks for popping in, enjoy the rest of your day
