Good Evening All!
Wow, nothing for a week, then 2 posts in 1 day.
I haven`t had the chance to participate in any challenges for what seems like ages, so I thought I`d combine a special Christmas card with a brand new challenge at Picture Perfect Creations . Normally they do colour combos but this week they have given us a fab sketch to follow.
I have taken a few liberties with this one and swiveled the oval around to suit my sentiment and I`ve added a bow instead of a strip.
Please excuse the photograph, it`s dark outside now so I`ve had to use my lightbox and the lamps give everything a pinkish tinge. If I have time tomorrow I`ll redo it in daylight.
All the DP`s are from Papermania Silent Night Collection.
The main background has some of the words and images in gold foil and is gorgeous.
All the papers are matted onto gold mirri card hence the glare.
The sentiment is by Elusive Images from the Deck the Halls set, stamped onto washed stone paper from the DP set. I`ve cut it out with a nestie oval. The border is a larger nestie oval in plain green from the DP set. IRL it is quite a bit darker and is the same shade as the wording on the main paper.
I`ve finished off with some ribbon and a bow.
Although I`m disappointed with the photo I`m over the moon with the card. I hope PPc do more sketch challenges :)
I`m off to watch X Factor now. Tonight has to be the night that Wagner finally gets his marching orders, I don`t think I can stand another week of him murdering perfectly good songs.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

Very pretty, the soft colors of the dp are perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great card and it looks awesome the way you turned the oval. I really like the sentiment and colors too! Thank you so much for sharing your card with us at PPC and for taking a stab at our sketch. Congrat's on two post's in one day!
ReplyDeleteLynne this is gorgeous! What a great idea to turn that oval around! I definitely had a hard time with that oval. I used to use a lightbox and realized what helps. If you take a sheet of white card stock, put it in your light box. Then go into your white balance and select custom or measure white balance. Then snap a shot of that white card stock and then take your photos. See if that helps! Thanks for joining us at PPC and hope to see you for a great color challenge tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant take on the sketch Lynne, lovely card as usual. xxx
ReplyDeleteI love all the detail in this and I know exactly what you mean - it's frustrating trying to get a decent photo when you're not around in the daylight. Think the old Wag might be around for a while annoyingly...
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous i love the papers and perfect bow, hugs pops x
ReplyDeleteWonderfully elegant, love that rich cranberry bow!
