Happy saturday everyone.
This weeks on Less is More we have to make a card with 3 squares on.
I must admit I`ve really struggled with this one. I`m not particularly happy with my card, one of my squares has a wonky border that I didn`t notice until I uploaded it onto here. I might do another one yet.
The sentiment is computer generated.
I`ve scored some lines above and below the sentiment to take the plainess off a bit.
The flower stamps are Waltzing Mouse Big Blooms and I have used the smaller of the flowers.
Two have been stamped in Versacolor, Peony and Orchid and the 3rd in Memento Rose Bud.
They were cut out with a square punch and matted ( badly) onto some burgundy card. They have been placed using foam pads.
Once again I want to thank Mandi and Chrissie for starting this challenge blog. I had a record 52 comments for my last submission. Thank you to all of you who came to visit my little blog and left a comment. I`m chuffed to bits.
I did try to visit everyone and leave a comment and if I missed you out I`m really sorry, it wasn`t deliberate. To all those who only got a two word comment I apologise too. It`s not that your cards weren`t fabulous it`s just that after the first 30 or so my fingers start to give up. It did get a bit like the `Magic Porridge Pot` in asmuch as the more comments I left, the more entries there were. I promise to do better this week :)
To all of you who sympathised with my cremated chicken last week, it was fine. A bit dry and a lot darker than it should have been but it was edible. I am much more relaxed today thank goodness.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx
I think this is brilliant!! I love the simple flower in varying shades of pink - and you've matched the font colour too!! Love it!

ReplyDeleteIt's so good that you have become one of our growing bunch of 'regulars' It's great to see you each week. Thank you so much!

Beautiful card, Lynne. I love those flowers.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are gorgeous and the colours are just right. If i was to change one thing, I'd have brought the sentiment down to be just above the squares.
ReplyDeleteI do think you're being hard on yourself though and I'd have never noticed a wonky square!
xx
oh I love the flowers and the use of differant shades of pink hugs linda x

ReplyDeleteRemoved because i had made a few spelling mistakes which i couldn't correct lol!!! Well it is very early in the morning and i am rather tired... Try again...
ReplyDeleteReally loving the graduated colours and the dark layers which bring your card to life. Don't think i would have embossed the lines as they take the focus away from your images. That said, a fantastic contemporary card:-)
It looks great Lynne, love the variation of colours too, well done! I know what you mean about leaving long comments...my hands get so sore typing atm, apologies to everyone if they are only short comments :O) Viv xx
ReplyDeleteI think your card is lovely....pretty colours and love the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteAnne
I also think that your card is beautiful. The colours are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteCalled by the other day very quickly to look but just HAD to come back to say the lines are fine. I wouldn't have noticed. I worry about things like that too but you must allow for the beauty of little imperfections and the handmade look. Great card - be proud!
ReplyDeleteSarah
I love using the scoring board to liven up a plain card, it really works well. Love the colours you've used here. I was unsure about matting my three squares, wasn't sure if that would then make it six squares, lol!!!!
