Good Morning All!
It`s One Layer week again over at Simply Less is More and this time the theme is WINGS.
I`ve taken the easy option and gone with butterflies.
I`ve used white linen card and embossed a rectangle using a nestie.
I stamped the butterflies (Elusive Images) onto the rectangle then masked off the butterflies and around the rectangle before inking with Versacolor Sand all over then Versacolor Brown around the edges.
The image is coloured with Promarkers in autumn colours.
The sentiment is from There She Goes which was a gift from my lovely blog friend Tara ( Thanks Tara)
Although one layer cards don`t hold the fear they once did for me, I`ve come to the conclusion that mine are getting much of a muchness so I might have another go with something a bit different.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

Lovely stamping and colouring, Lynne. Those butterflies look really 3D! Sue x
ReplyDeleteI like this Lynne - but I know what you mean about one layer cards - trouble is, I can't think of anything else to do to make mine different -my last effort was supposed to be one layer and didn't like it so chopped it down a bit and mounted it onto coloured card! x
ReplyDeleteLynne your card is gorgeous! I love the embossed rectangle, inking and coloring. TFS!

Gorgeously inked background for your wonderful bright butterflies. x
ReplyDeleteIt must be a British saying, "much of a muchness." I'm trying, but I can't think what that means. Your one-layer card is stunning!! It looks NOT one layer with that beautiful sponging and dimensional butterflies. Even with masks, I manage to smooge around the edge whenever I try something like this, so I'm mighty impressed.
ReplyDeleteMaybe my masks are old? Are Robin Hood and Made Marion masks still popular?
I mean to say Maid Marion. Even with my "accidental" typos, that one sticks out like a sore thumb!
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous! Love the embossed frame and the butterflies are just so pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - the brightly coloured butterflies really stand out!
