When I was at the fundraising event a couple of weeks ago I was asked by one of the Mums to make a couple of cards for her daughters 13th birthday.
I always like to get as much information as possible when making cards for people I don`t know but all I was told was that she`s stroppy and likes pink. Oh, and no flowers...Arghhh!
Anyway here is what I came up with.
I used an image from Mo`s Digital Pencil called " I Dunno" because I thought she looked suitably stroppy.
The first paper is from a `Me to you` pad and the hearts are from a download but I can`t remember where from.
The number 13 is from Poundland (where else lol) and I punched a couple of butterflies using a MS punch.
The sentiment is computer generated and punched with a Woodware heart punch. I`ve added some glitter to the edges.
The second card is for Latasha`s younger sisters to give her and is my favourite of the two.
Backing papers are again from a `Me to you` pad and the Teddy is a die cut that came with the pad.
I used my Die-Namics alpha to cut out the letters and raised them on foam pads.
The stars are made using X Cut nested stars dies and pink mirri card and then embossed with Swiss Dots folder. They are the same shade of pink, it`s my rubbish photography that makes them look different.
Sentiment is computer generated.
Today is the first chance I`ve had to get into the craft room since sunday. It`s been manic at work and I`m just so tired. I hope to have something to show you in the very near future though :-)
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

Fabby cards Lynne, love them both :) Viv xx
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are lovely, but I have to say my fav is the 'stroppy' one. You can just see this little one has 'attitude' with a Big A. Most 13 yr olds have it. Bet she will just LOVE it! I chuckled at your comment about rubbish photography. I can totally identify with that (of course yours really looks fine!). I struggle with photos, then slink back to the scanner, which doesn't give a good rendering either. TKS for sharing 2 really cute cards.
ReplyDeleteLove these Lynn! You couldn't have picked a more suitable stroppy image, lol!
