21st Birthday Card

Hello all. Well it`s Sunday and the last day of my hols :(   I really would like at least another week off but duty calls. In the mean time I have a card to share.
One of my old workmates called into the shop last week to ask me to make a card for her daughters 21st. I have been making cards for Nichola since her 16th and can`t quite believe that she is going to be 21 next month. Nichola is strongly into the music scene and has taken part in many local talent shows so the card had to have a music theme. I didn`t want it to be all about music though, after all we are only 21 once and I wanted something definitely girlie. This is what I came up with, what do you think?

I`ve gone for lots of pink but some black too as I think it gives it more of a grown up, sassy, sexy feel.

The DP is Pink Petticoat Lola Rose Black and Pink
( now retired I think).
I`ve used a MS Doily punch along the bottom edge and added some black card and some hot pink card also punched.
The image is Inkadinkado Rock Star stamped in Memento Rose Bud on white card matted onto hot pink.
The sentiment is computer generated so I could add Nichola`s name and is cut out with a nestie circle die.
I`ve added a hot pink ribbon and bow for more girlyness and a silver glittered 21 sticker.

I hope it gets her Mums approval first if not I will be posting a second choice any time soon ha ha.

Thanks for popping in ...Lynne xxx

  2. I love that DP-I have it too. The way you punched the edge has made it look like lace, and stamping the image in pink I think has made the perfect grown up girlie card.
