This is my second post today, please scroll down for my Less is More post.
Hello, me again.
It`s Alan`s Mums 87th birthday today and I made her a card during the week. Although I photographed it, I thought I`d wait before posting it on the blog and what a good job I did too. Imagine how chuffed I was when I checked the new challenge at CR84FN and saw which colours they were using this week.
I wish I could be this psychic with the lottery numbers lol.
Although she is 87, Alans Mum is very modern and young at heart. The decor in her living room is cream with red accessories which is why I used the red and as we`re in need of some sunshine I added the yellow too.
The zig zag edge is made from card scraps punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
The image is my all time favourite Flourishes stamp Gerbera Daisies ( so versatile) coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment is from Rubbadubbado.
As I`ve used snippets in this one, I`m also entering it into Pixies Crafty Snippets #28. We might have to play indoors this week as the swings will be quite soggy I would imagine.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

I can't remember if CR84FN has winners, but this says "winner" to me! How incredibly fun that it was made before the call! I love the bright, cheeryness, the modern chevron striped edge, and your coloring is devine! Happy Birthday to Mum! Oh wait, I was just about to click "publish" and I see a CR84FN ribbon off to the left in your side bar. Good for you for the previous win - think you might be putting up another one of those!
ReplyDeleteFabulous Card Lynne! So bright and Cheerful! When I was growning up my Grandma always had these lovel flowers in her garden. It wasn't until I was grown that I learned they were Gerbera Daisies not Gerber Daisies as Grandma called them.
