Hi there,
get me, still saturday and I`m posting my card for this weeks Simply Less is More challenge which has the title THIS MAKES ME HAPPY.
Lots of things make me happy, family and friends obviously, babies, cute furry animals, craft shopping, chocolate...I go on for ever but the one thing guaranteed to put a smile on my face is knowing that I`m getting away, even for just a few days, in my little caravan.
Now I know caravans aren`t everyones cup of tea but I love mine.It means the weather is reasonably good and I have lots of time for sightseeing, walks in the country, sitting reading a good book or even a bit of crafting without feeling that I should be doing something else...like ironing.
Anyway enough of that, here is my card.
I used the Country Landscape die from Memory Box with white card so I could colour the trees and the houses then cut another from green paper, trimmed the top bits off and paper pieced the `hill`.
The caravan stamp is from Hobbycraft, coloured with promarkers and fussy cut before placing using foam pads.
The sentiment is computer generated.
I have a dream that once Alan has retired, in about 5 years time, we`re going to hitch the caravan up about mid april and just drive all around the UK stopping off at various places and eventually coming home when it gets too cold. I think I have gypsy blood.
Ruby is doing well although still not walking yet but the physio is going well. She had a visit to the joke shop yesterday and was in her element. She came home with a woopee cushion, which doesn`t surprise me at all as she thinks anything to do with farts is hysterically funny, and some chattering teeth. Just goes to show that it doesn`t cost the earth to keep kids amused.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx
Lovely 'happy' card Lynne!
ReplyDeleteCan just picture Ruby with her whoopee cushion :)

Wonderful happy card! I love camping with our kids. We have a pop-up camper, and I haven't found any images of that. Your little camper is adorable!
ReplyDeleteoh this is fab Lynne - so adorable.

Oooohhhh...love your card...especially cuz we have a 5th wheel and love to go camping for the same reasons as you.
ReplyDeleteWe have had a trailer just like this, a big camper, then a bigger trailer, and finally the 5th wheel. They call it 2 footitiss over here.....lol
You have reminded me that I must dust off the trailer stamp I bought and get it to ink. I only hope my card will be as pretty as yours.
Great idea and a fab design :o) Hugs, Lisa x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and superb take on the challenge Lynne. I'd also love to go with the wind in a caravan wherever the mood takes me. Not sure it's my hubby's thing having tried it for a few years but perhaps in retirement!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing and taking part.
Sarah xx

This is nicely put together with the background and theme. Lovely card.
ReplyDeleteIt's so intersting to see how this challenge is being interpreted this week... I used to love it when we had a caravan too! I like a few more home comforts these days!
ReplyDeleteLove your card Lynne, and approve most heartily of Ruby's purchases!
Thanks so much

Good for Ruby - nothing like a bit of fun to lift your spirits! Fab card Lynne. x
ReplyDeleteThis is a winner in my book when it comes to perfectly expressing what makes you happy, Lynne! Your little caravan scene ~ with the PERFECT sediment ~ is fantastic! We used to have a little camper and have so many awesome memories of our adventures!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that Ruby is loving life again! Bless her. The twins never tire of the whoopie cushion either and think it is especially funny when the grandparents sit on it!! Hugs, Darnell
This is a fabulous card Lynne, you have created a lovely scene with your caravan.

A great card and lovely caravan scene. We have a caravan too so yes, waiting for the sunny weather and head away from everyday chores and the internet!!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable!
ReplyDeleteLynne this card is lovely - I'm sure there are many happy hours to be spent travelling the countryside in your caravan. I'm glad Ruby is making progress and enjoying her new joke toys. my 7 year old is mad on jokes and tricks and having received a joke set for Christmas from a favourite Uncle, I've lost count of the times I've sat down unexpectedly on a whoopee cushion! Funny thing is, it always makes us both laugh hysterically. maybe I should have put an image of one on my LIM card this week ...!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Lynne, love the little scene you created. We used to have a caravan and loved it .Too many aches and pains to sleep in one now though....I know they can have comfy beds but my bed is very large and very comfortable! So glad Ruby is doing well and enjoying life again...all as it should be ;) hugs Viv x
ReplyDeleteWonderful card Lynne, super for a caravan lover, great scene too.
