Happy Thursday all!
I hope you`re all having a lovely day and looking forward to the bank holiday weekend. I know I am :)
The inspiration for The Shabby Tea Room
challenge this week is a tea party theme, polka dots or both. They have given us this piccy to help.
Now I don`t do a lot of cute cards but as soon as I saw these gorgeous pink polka dots it just screamed cute to me. Having a lack of cute stamps didn`t help but on Sunday last we had a papercrafting event here in Hull and Alan treated me to two stamps, one of which is a beautiful Sugar Nellie stamp. This is the card I made with the stamp and the one I am submitting to the Shabby Tea Room challenge.
Isn`t she absolutely gorgeous?
The stamp is called Flowers and is by Elisabeth Bell and I think I`m in love with her. I might just have to treat myself to some of her sisters.
I used Pink Petticoat Dots for my backing paper mounted on to some pale green card.
The image is coloured with watercolour pencils and I`ve added some Glamour Dust to her flowers and watering can.
I`ve used a pale pink ribbon and bow (ofcourse) and some Prima flowers and gem brads.
Still got loads to do before we go away. You`d think we were going for a month not a long weekend but y`know how it is.
My son and my future daughter in law are staying at our house to look after the dogs and I really don`t want her thinking she`s marrying into a mucky family, lol.
Thank you for popping in, Lynne xxx

Clean and Simple # 91
Good Morning!
Happy Tuesday to you all.
Well the weather has certainly changed hasn`t it? I can`t believe that on Sunday it was too hot to move and like an oven up here in my garret, lol. So hot that my mojo evaporated. Today the temperature has dropped by about 10 degrees and it`s cloudy. It does however make it a bit more bearable for crafting.
This is the sketch for this weeks challenge over at Clean and Simple
And here is my take on it.
A very quick and easy card to make.
Luckily I already had the bird image stamped up for another card I was going to make so the whole thing came together really quickly.
I ran some plain white card through the cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and mounted it onto some raspberry pink card.
I punched a strip of Joanna Sheen gingham with my Martha Stewart Doily punch.
The sentiment is by Papertrey and stamped in Versa color Orchid.
The bird is by Inkadinkado and is also stamped in Orchid and heat embossed in clear embossing powder, then raised slightly with foam pads.
A really quick card, no ribbon, no bows (sorry Julie) but I`m rather pleased with the result.
I`ve got a really busy day ahead `cos we`re going away at the weekend so I`ll just say...Thanks for popping in, Lynne xxx

Purple Passion
Good Morning all!
Its a beautiful morning here in Hull and I`m hoping it`s here to stay.
I have made todays card to enter into the challenge over at Mojo Monday
Here is the sketch we were given and here is my take on it.
Although I enjoy making CAS cards I have to admit I prefer what I call my over the top, frills and ribbons cards.
I haven`t done any stamping on this card ( shock horror) because the image says it all for me.
The vintage rose image is by Joanna Sheen and can be found on her Floral Fantasy cd.
The back ground papers are from my computer and once again I`ve forgotten where from ( I really must make a note of these).
I`ve added some broderie anglaise from the market and some purple ribbon. A huge purple bow and some gorgeous purple ribbon roses from the local haberdashery store.
My little shape is cut with a nestie labels 4 die.
Thats it folks for today

Curtain Call Act 30
Good Morning all and a Happy Tuesday to you!
Here is the inspiration for this weeks curtain call challenge.
You can find the details for this Here .
I can`t believe the crafting Gods have been so kind to me once again and given us orange to play with. They have teamed it with pink which is not a combo I would have used normally but I`m pleased with the result.
Here is my take on the challenge.
The butterfly stamp is by Docrafts Whispers and was one of the first stamps I ever bought.
I`ve coloured with watercolour pencils.
The DP is by ShabbyPrincess and I`m in love with it.
The challenge called for Kraft but this fawn was the closest I have at the moment. I`ve punched the border with a Fiskars punch.
I added some pale pink ribbon and some black flat backed pearls to finish off.
That it for today folks, I`ve got rather alot of weeds with my name on to pull up so I`m off to enjoy the sunshine.
Thanks for popping in,
Lynne xxx

Two challenges , one card.
Hi Every One
I hope you are enjoying what`s left of the weekend.
I`ve made one card today to enter two challenges.
These are Clean & Simple,
and Tuesday Trigger.
I struggled a bit with the Tuesday trigger as I don`t have the coral pink card but decided to join in anyway with a pinker version. The colours and design fit nicely with this weeks CAS sketch too.
I apologise for the photo as the light isn`t very good today ( thats my excuse anyway).
I used plain white card for the base.
Pink, baby blue and white card, punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and matted and layered.
The stamp is by The Stampman
and is called Daisy Flutters. I`ve had it for years and don`t use it as often as I should.
I stamped with Versa color baby blue.
There are daisies on this stamp but they are not quite what I wanted so I punched out some flowers from the pink and blue card and placed them on top of the originals.
I`ve added some ribbon and a bow and some white flat back pearls to the flower centres.
The sentiment is from Papertrey and is also stamped in baby blue.
It was only when I`d finished that I realised my bow and sentiment are in the wrong place and my sentiment is a bit wonky. For that I apologise but what the heck! it`s done now lol.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Shabby Chic
Good Morning All!
Just a quick post today.
It will be Alan`s Mums 85th Birthday in July so I got cracking with this card for her.
I actually made the card first then decided who to give it to which is usual for me. I have urges to try certain designs or effects then fit them around people to give them to.
I know the Shabby Chic look has been around for some time now but I`m always a bit slow on the uptake. lol.
The backing paper is a freebie from the wonderful and very, very talented Jak Heath.
It was this paper that was the basis for my design.
The image is from my computer and cut out with a nestie.
The plain pink paper is from Papermania Blueberry Hill.
I`ve threaded some pale pink ribbon through some slightly glittery lace and also added my trademark bow.
The sentiment is from Rubbadubbado.
The 3 tiny pink roses are from a local haberdashery shop.
I`m really pleased with the result and thorough enjoyed making it.
Can I just take this opportunity to thank you all for your lovely comments on my last post, especially those of you who mentioned my bows. I really can`t take the credit for these because it`s all down to my Bow Maker from the Glittergirls. It cost me £4.99 and it`s one of the best pieces of equipment I`ve ever spent money on.
Thanks again, your comments are really appreciated.

Curtain Call act #29
Good Morning All!
And a happy wednesday to you all.
This weeks inspitation for Stacey`s challenge is this gorgeous picture. You can find the details HERE
I thought I`d died and gone to heaven when I saw the colour choice, I mean, orange and yellow what better colours for me!
However I did struggle a bit with the almost blue and once I`d put all the elements together, I`m still not sure if I like it or not. The colouring is not that great but then it never is lol.
I`ve used plain white card for the base.
The grey/blue DP is from Papermania Boutique collection and is matted onto some plain orange card.
I`ve used the same orange matted onto some yellow card for the strip.
The image is, ofcourse, my favourite Flourishes stamp, Gerbera Daisy and is coloured with watercolour pencils and cut out using Spellbinders Circle die.
I`ve finished off with a huge blousey yellow ribbon and bow.
Right thats me done for now, I`m off to see Mum today.
Thanks for popping in

Clean and Simple challenge # 89
Good morning all!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. This is my submission for this weeks challenge at Clean and Simple. You can find their wonderful sketches HERE.
This is the sketch we were given.
I`m absolutely loving these sketches. They are right up my street and put me firmly in my comfort zone.
In fact I`m loving this one so much that I made a whole bunch of them.
All the cards are the same, I just played around with the colours. A very simple design, I stamped and embossed my sentiment first then just ran the plain white card through the Cuttlebug using the Swirls folder. I layered it onto some coloured card and placed that onto plain white card. The butterflies are all by Elusive Images , and have been stamped and embossed in colours to match the card. I`ve added some flat backed pearls on the butterfly body to make them pop and thats it.
I`ve just heard that a friend is organising a fund raising day at a local pub to raise money for the oncology ward at Castle Hill hospital so I think I might take these and some others along and see how they go.

Tuesday Trigger
Good Morning all and a Happy Saturday.
I`m really enjoying doing these challenges that I`ve recently got into. When I found this one fromMoxie Fab World I was so excited. This one is the Tuesday Trigger and this is the picture we were asked to take our inspiration from.
I love it and couldn`t wait to get started. I knew exactly where to get my papers from and had loads of the right coloured flowers.
Ha! Why do I do it to myself? I loaded up the Pink Petticoat Dots, chose the Pistachio and set it to print. Now I knew my ink was running low but, you know me, I always try to squeeze the last little bit out. My beautiful Pistachio paper came out a mucky grey colour !!!
Not to be out done I had a good rummage in my " spare paper " box and found half a sheet of the perfect paper. The dots aren`t as big as I would have liked but, hey beggers can`t be choosers.
Then I set about making the card. I got all the ingrediants together, set it all out, went to get my "perfect" green brads for the centre of the flowers... not enough of them....Have you ever felt like screaming?
In the end I compromised and improvised and came up with this.
I used cream for the base card as it seemed to go better with the green.
The spotty paper is by Pink Petticoat and layered onto some darker green card.
The flowers are from Prima.
I punched out some more flowers for the centre from the same spotty paper and added a gem stone.
The sentment is from Flourishes Sweetpea set.
I`ve added my usual ribbon and bow to finish. I just can`t resist a big blousy bow lol.
Thanks for popping in and putting up with my ramblings.

Curtain Call act 28
Hello and a happy Wednesday to you all!
Curtain call act 28
I`ve found a new Challenge to have fun with and this time I know I`ve got plenty of time to enter:)
This is the colour scheme for this weeks challenge,
Rose Red,Whisper White,Kraft and Not Quite Navy.
I`m pretty sure they are all Stampin up products and as I haven`t got any Stampin up at all I`ve had to improvise.
I`ve used White for the main card. The pink floral paper is some I`ve had for years and I think it`s probably Papermainia but I`m not 100%.
The Blue panel is from a pad of scrapbooking papers from K&co and I`ve layered all the papers onto Kraft card.
The border is cut out of Kraft with Spellbinders borderbilities.
The image is Papertrey Autumn abundance and coloured with watercolour pencils. I`ve cut the image with a nestie circle and another one in Kraft.
I`ve added a navy ribbon and a bow.
These are not colours I would normally choose and I must admit I nearly didn`t bother but I had a rake around in my paper drawer and found these and thought, why not! So there you have it.
Thanks for popping in ..Lynne xxx

Oops.. too late.
Good Morning All.
And a very Happy Tuesday to you.
I started todays card with the intention of joining the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room blog but when I checked again I realised that I was too late.
The colours for the challenge were muted blues, beiges and pinks so I had all the ingrediants and, for once, an idea. Doh!
Anyway as it`s my eldest daughter, Cheryls, 10th wedding anniversary soon I thought I`d carry on and use it for that.
Traditionally 10th is Tin.. what do you buy as a present for that??? A tin of beans? lol
BUT..the modern version is diamond jewelry so some bling was in order.
The DP are both from Papermania Blueberry Hill.
I`ve layered it onto some pale pink card and also used the same card for my Spellbinders Border.
The roses are from a local haberdashery store and I`ve just added some diamond bling and some pink ribbon.
The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with Spellbinders labels 4 die.
The photo doesn`t do it justice as it looks much better IRL and I`m rather pleased with the result.
Thanks for popping in

Clean & simple challenge FTL #88
Happy Bank Holiday Monday
to you all.
I love doing these challenges and am so pleased I found the courage to enter. They are right up my street and I often need a bit of a shove in the right direction when it comes to lay outs.
And here is my take on it.
The flower paper is by Shabby Princess .
The stamp is Inkadinkado Birds Galore which I stamped in Versa colour Cyan.
The sentiment is Papertrey and stamped in cyan too.
I`ve added some gems to the bird for a bit of bling and some bright pink ribbon and a bow to tie in with the paper.
Would you believe it!!! I have a day all to myself while Alan is in Wigan and my mojo has gone with him I think. I`ve managed to make one card and finish this one and that`s it. I might think about the ironing, that usually brings on a bout of inspiration. Anything not to iron lol.
Enjoy the rest of your day,
Lynne xxx

A Cutie
Happy bank holiday Sunday every one.
I hope the weather isn`t too bad where you are, it`s just starting to cloud over here, typical.
Wow I can`t believe it`s been a whole week since my last post. I have just been sooo busy. The decorating is all finished now ( til I start on the next room ) The house has been cleaned to within an inch of it`s life. You know the story, if it stands still it gets scrubbed lol. I tried telling anyone that was interested that it wasn`t muck, it was volcanic dust but I have a feeling they didn`t believe me for some reason.
Any way I have one card to show you today. It`s not often I do cute cards but I fell in love with this little chap and thought he could be useful for all sorts of different occasions. So much for cutting down on stamp buying lol.
I`m calling him a he but I`ve decided for this occasion he is a she.
The stamp is by Penny Black and I`ve coloured the image with watercolour pencils.
The back ground paper is some from my computer and for the life of me I can`t remember where they are from.
I`ve glittered the centres of the flowers with some Glamour dust.
The sentiment is computer generated.and the flowers are from my stash.
Tomorrow Alan and son Alan are going to Wigan to watch the footie so I plan to have a whole day crafting.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
