White on White

Good afternoon all,

I hope I find you all well and in good spirits. I`m in a particularly good mood today as I`m on holiday from work from next monday for a week. I can`t wait.

I`m managing so far to join in a few challenges this week and the Tuesday Trigger over on Moxie Fab World  is one I couldn`t resist. This is the photo inspiration ,
Wow! you really wouldn`t want to eat that cake now would you? You would have to have it on show, like forever lol.
Good job I`m never likely to get one then. It is, however, perfect for inspirational card making purposes.
Here is my take on it,

I realise that the cake looks as if it`s been antiqued but I decided to go with white on white.

It turned out to be one of those cards that just fell into place. It doesn`t happen very often to me so when it does I heave a great sigh of relief.

I`ve used the same white card stock for everything as it`s surprising how many different shades of white there are.
I made a panel slightly smaller than my base card and used the Birds and Vine cuttlebug folder to emboss it.
I placed it on my card using foam tape to give it some dimension.
I made the flower using Spellbinders Scalloped circles die and a plain gem brad.
The sentiment is by Joanna Sheen, stamped and embossed in detail silver, then cut out with a Spellbinders Labels 4 die.
I used my Marianne designs Ribbon eyelet die ( had to cut it down a bit)
made a bow from white and silver ribbon, leaving long tails, then threaded the tails through the eyelets. then placed it using foam pads.
I added some leaves to my flower using my new punch and thats it.

I have to admit it was a bit of a bugger to photograph though. Although the weather has brightened a little , it`s not bright enough for my camera to work without the flash going off.
I`ve only had the camera for about 6 years so I thought it was time to read the instructions and find out how to turn off said flash and Voila!
Much better. I think I really ought to carry on reading, you never know I might even learn how to take half decent photo`s.Lol.

Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx
