Less is More # 107

Good afternoon and a happy sunday to you all.

The challenge this week at Simply Less is More is called UP IN THE AIR.

Chrissie and Jen want to see hotair balloons, airplanes, rockets etc. I must admit to quite a struggle (again) for two reasons. Firstly I haven`t got a great deal in the way of air type stamps and secondly because I`m suffering with Sciatica at the moment so am finding it hard to sit for long and can`t bend very well either.
Anyway enough of me moaning, here is what I came up with.

Not alot of `white space` on this one I`m afraid.
The rocket is a digi by Digistamp Boutique coloured with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens and fussy cut.
The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a nestie circle die then trimmed.
A few peel off stars to finish.
With hindsight there is a lot I should have done differently with this one. I resized the rocket and I feel I`ve made it too small and the sentiment should have been lower down on the circle. I`ll know better next time.

Ruby is still wallowing in the glory of fame after last weeks excitment. On tuesday the local paper printed a two page spread about Callies haircut and Ruby and her illness was mentioned a lot. It was a fabulous article with lots more super pics. The whole thing has spurred us on to make a start on some serious fundraising so as soon as I feel up to it I`ll be mass producing cards again :-)

Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

  4. What a great card, love the rocket :)

  5. Brilliant card Lynne - you always amaze me with how quickly you come up with your LIM ideas!

Hope your sciatica eases off soon!I find if, when I go to bed, I lie on the side that's hurting and cross my other leg over it really helps to ease it within a couple of days.

  6. Like your card aswell! The raket and stars are poppin'out so beautiful! Thanks for your comment on my blog and greetings, Gerrina

  7. Oh I love it, really great take on the LIM challenge. Hope your sciatica eases up soon.

  8. love your card, lynne.. it looks out of this world to me!! so sorry to hear that you are having back problems... i hope that things get better for you soon!!

  9. Brilliant fabulous card Lynne.

  10. Might not be white space - but I think outer space counts!! ;)

I really like this, so sweet.

I do hope your sciatica gets better soon. Hugs xx

  11. This is inspired Lynne! I love the way the sentiment looks like the explosion bit of the rocket (I'm sure there is a technical term but I'm not familiar with it!!!) Vicky x

  12. Your rocket is a F.A.B. (thunderbirds reference!) idea. I agree with Vicky and immediately thought of the words as the blast from the rocket. x

  13. Love this deep blue sky and the poppy colours of the rocket!

  14. This is terrific Lynne, great news about Callie and Ruby too!
    Thanks so much
