Colour Throwdown # 108

Good Afternoon and a Happy Sunday All!

My mojo seems to have paid me a visit today, I don`t know how long it will be here for so I`m making the most of it and crafting happily for as long as I can.

The girls over on the Color Thowdown Challenge  have given us some fab colours to work with this week.
Here is the swatch

And here is my card.

We get the sunshine first thing in a morning through the loft window and I left taking this piccy a bit late. It`s quite windy outside so that wasn`t an option so I`ll make my apologies for the photo.

A straight forward sort of card.
I used a cream square base card and cut a piece of brown card a bit smaller, I then matted a piece of Papermania Capsule collection Sunshine paper on top of that.
I still haven`t got any kraft card but I found some of this gorgeous corrigated card in my bit box and placed it in the middle of my card.
I stamped my image from Papertrey`s Autumn Abundance set onto cream card and coloured with a mixture of Promarkers and watercolour pencils. I stamped the sentiment also from the same set, underneath and cut it out with a nestie circle die.
I added it to the corrigated card using foam pads.
I`m not one for using buttons much on my cards but this one needed something that was not a huge bow (lol) and I found this button in my button box that seemed to do the trick. I threaded a thin ribbon through the holes and tied a quick bow and I think it looks quite good.

Well I got my weekly fix of the X Factor last night. I haven`t laughed so much in ages. Why is it that the worst singers, and by that I mean ones that sound like a cat playing the bagpipes, always have the worse attitude? They come on stage having made no effort to look  good whatsoever, half of them don`t even remember the words and then they shout abuse at the audience. I`m not really complaining, afterall thats the reason I watch the program week after week but I just can`t believe these people think they are going to get through. I`m sure some of them do it for a dare or a bet. Being one of those who does sound like a cat playing the bagpipes when I sing, I certainly couldn`t put myself through the humiliation. I was a bit annoyed at Simon Cowell aswell for refusing to let that lad call himself Storm. My husbands Grandfathers middle name was Storm as was his fathers and grandfathers. We have no idea why the family chose this name to carry on but it ended 2 generations ago. Shame really!

Right thats me done rambling for now, Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx
