Picture Perfect Creations # 29

Back Again Already!

This is the colour swatch from Picture Perfect Creations for this week. Now if I struggled a bit with my last post I almost gave up with this one. As you know I love orange and yellow. They are my favourite colours, bright, sunny and make me think of warm spring days. But put them together and they`re a bit garish.
In the end I came up with this card that I have to admit is not one of my better efforts. I promise to try harder in the future ( Sounds like my old school reports...Must try harder..)

The card speaks for itself really. Yellow card run through Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and punched along the bottom with scallop punch.
Orange card also punched with scallop punch and placed under bottom edge of yellow.
A piece of orange ribbon along top edge.
The flower though is it`s saving grace IMO.
I made the flower using tissue paper and a scalloped circle nestie die BUT the tissue paper is what my new Flourishes stamps came wrapped in. It`s a lovely touch to think the girls at Flourishes value their stamps enough to wrap them and even better when you can be frugal and reuse it in this way. I finished the flower off with a Pearl Brad from American Crafts.
The sentiment is by Elusive Images and is stamped in Bright Blue.

I think thats me done for today but I might be back later with a Christmas card.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx
