A Happy Hello!

Me Again!

The girls at the Play Date Cafe have given us another challenging colour combo this week,

Now I actually like pea green and navy together although I`m not sure I would have them as my kitchen colours. And I absolutely know that I couldn`t put up with all that stainless steel, far too much polishing!!!

The challenge for me was putting these colours together onto a card. I had hoped to come up with a masterpiece but as I said before I`m limited, at the moment, to a shortage in the imagination department.

I finally came up with this card.

I don`t know about you, but quite often I know exactly which paper I`m going to use, which stamp and how to use it and after gathering all my bits together, I get creative constipation. No matter which way I move things about, nothing happens.
After sitting with papers and card in hand for about an hour, I gave in and went with the easy option ( again).
Hey ho!

The DP is  Pink Petticoat`s Dots in Pistatio matted onto silver pearlised card.
I stamped my image from Inkadinkado Birds Galore set in clear ink and embossed in silver, onto nabvy card stock.
I added a sentiment from Flourishes also embossed in silver.
I punched a border along one edge with my Fiskars border punch.
I wasn`t sure about the silver ribbon but it looked a bit naked without it.

Right I`m off to try to create that master piece that I`m sure is lurking about somewhere Lol.

Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

  1. Oh Lynne that phrase made me laugh - creative constipation - sooo funny. Not so funny when you've got it, as I have today. Your card is fab; clean, simple and elegant. I do exactly the same as you; get all my goodies out and then....NOTHING! xx

  10. Not my choice of kitchen either but definitely my kind of card! I love the way you interpreted the grey as silver and I think the ribbon sets off the bird image perfectly.
