Card for a friend.

Good Morning All!

and a happy wednesday to you all.

Since posting this card I have discovered another fantastic challenge blog Play Date Cafe.
They have this lovely pic for inspiration

Today`s card is for a friend of Mum and Dads. Jean has known my mum since they were teenagers and has been a rock for my dad since mums illness. She`s also a really nice person to know.
Quite a simple card to make,
5" square white card.
Pale green card matted and layered with Pink Petticoat lilac paper.
A rectangle of white card run through the swiss dots folder and layered onto more pale green card.
White card cut out with the borderbilities grand classic lace.
The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a labels 4 die.
A larger labels 4 die in lilac.
I`ve then added a huge bow and some handmade flowers to finish.

Not a very long post today. At 2.15 this morning our doorbell woke us up. Alan shot downstairs while me, being the not brave one, looked out of the bedroom window.
No one there.
We were just nodding off when it went off again. Alan shot downstairs again while I stayed where I was and muttered something about batteries. I heard Alan fumbling around and assumed he had taken the batteries out but 15 minutes later, off it went again, continuously.
This time I dragged myself out of bed, followed Alan downstairs and while he was hunting around for screwdrivers I wrenched it off the wall ( it was only stuck on with double sided sticky pads) whipped the batteries out and went back to bed.
By then I was wide awake, hot and fuming. Still awake an hour later.
When the alarm went off for Alan at 7 I decided to stay where I was for a while but 10 minutes later the dustman arrived to empty the recycling bin. Why does every ones bin contain hundreds of glass bottles that make a hell of a din at that time in a morning?
So thats me today, tired and grumpy. I don`t do sleep deprivation very well!!!

Hopefully I`ll be back tomorrow, refreshed and ready for a new day.

Thanks for popping in ( and putting up with me moaning)....Lynne xxx

Sorry to hear about your early awakening this morning - hope you have recovered. The dustmen seem to arrive earlier than ever now - 6.30am around here!
    Love and hugs, Sylvia xxx

  7. Oh poor you! We battled with rogue fire alarms for over a week once and I'm still surprised nobody was murdered! Your sleep deprivation hasn't affected your creativity anyway - love your beautiful purple card with its flash of green.
