Happy Saturday All!
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. The weather is glorious here. Not too hot, about 23deg I think, but the sun is shining. At least we seem to have have got rid of that awful oppressive humidity. Long may it continue!
Todays card is for Alans work collegue Maggie. She is such a bright sunny person I just had to make her a bright, sunny card . It will be her birthday in August.
I made a square hammered white card ( 5" x 5")
I matted some gorgeous yellow paper from Papermania on to slightly darker yellow card.
I ran some more white card through the cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and cut it into a rectangle.
Then matted and layered that onto some of the darker yellow card and again onto some white.
I adhered some ribbon onto the panel before sticking it to my card and then placed the rectangle using foam pads.
I cut 2 circles with the nesties circle dies, one in white and a larger one in yellow and layered them using foam pads.
I stamped and embossed a butterfly from Elusive Images onto acetate with yellow EP and glittered it from behind with yellow and a tiny bit of orange Pee Wee glitter then adhered the butterfly to the white circle.
I added some pale yellow and white roses and a bow.
The sentiment ( which is hidden behind the bow, sorry) is from The Stampman and is stamped and embossed in yellow.
I`m really pleased with the way this one turned out. I think my little wobble has passed!!!
A quick update on my new job... It`s only part time, afternoons , in a shop in the local shopping centre but it will give me some money to spend on crafty goodies and at the moment, and more to the point, will help out with household bills aswell. Things are getting a bit tough around here.
I have an induction on monday and start properly on tuesday. I`m a little nervous I must admit as I have been away from the work place for a year and retail for 4 years but I`m sure I`ll soon get back into the swing of things. So... my life as a lady of leisure is over...unless we win the lottery tonight lol.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx
Well now that's a card that makes you feel happy as soon as you look at it! What fabulous colours! Good luck with the new job Lynne, I hope you enjoy it.
