Shabby Tea Room # 19

Good Afternoon  All!

First of all can I thank you all for the lovely comments you left on my last post. They boosted my confidence no end and I think I know which direction I`m going in now. I always appreciate each and every comment I recieve and thank you again for taking the time.

Right, on to todays post. The girls over on The Shabby Tea Room Blog
have given us this gorgeous piccy for inspiration with instructions In The Garden
or using the colours, Green, Cream,Yellow, Red, and White or both.

As it`s my youngest grandaughter, Ruby`s 2nd birthday at the end of the month
I thought I`d use these colours for her card.

I have to admit that I copped out a bit here as I couldn`t find a stamp in my collection that I thought was appropriate so I used a pre coloured digi image
I bought ages ago from Cute Colors.com.

I think it may be a little too grown up for a 2 year old but then again she`s not going to more interested in her pressy`s and cake and the bold colours do make it  child friendly.

The green and cream striped DP is from Fred she said mounted onto white card.
The image is from Cute Colors.com and I`ve glittered the flowers a tiny bit. Then I cut it out with a circles nestie.
I`ve used red ribbon along the side and across the bottom and threaded a tag through and a bow.
The tag I printed on the PC and added a tiny bit of glitter.
I`ve added some white, red and yellow roses around the image. ( I dropped a rose and left silicone glue on the paper so I`ve added some leaves to cover the blob)
Finally, with a name like Ruby I just had to add some real(ish) rubies along the bottom.

As it`s wednesday I called to the home to see Mum this morning and, as I nearly always do, I popped into the shop with the haberdashery dept. I treated myself to some gorgeous yellow roses and a new Papermania DP pad. Look out for some new postings using these papers, they are gorgeous.

Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx.
