Hello Folks!
I hope everyone has recovered from Mr Bloggers mystery ailment.I tried all the tips I was reading but couldn`t get onto my dashboard for love nor money. I use Firefox as a server and it was recommended to try that but it didn`t work for me.I cleared all my cookies and cache and that didn`t do any good. I lost my followers, I couldn`t comment and now I have bald patches from tearing my hair out Lol. I finally had a brainwave yesterday morning and tried to access through Internet Explorer and that worked Yippee!!! Only by then I`d decided to make use of the time in the garden. After dodging showers, I managed to clear a rather large patch of weeds ( why do weeds flourish when nothing else does?) and plant some late bulbs, scatter some seeds and plant up a few tubs.By then I resembled the crooked man and could hardly straighten my poor aching back, so a hot bath ( haven`t had a bath for ages, I`m more of a shower girl) and a couple of Ibuprofen later I came up to the craft room for this weeks Less is More Challenge. which is to Pick a Square.
We can use any of the four corners or the middle. Great... easy peasy thought me...not.
I think I must have used all my mojo on the garden. I couldn`t find a suitable stamp I liked, then when I did decide on one, I seemed to have lost the ability to stamp properly. Four cards in the bin later this is what I came up with,
This was my first half decent attempt. I was quite pleased with this one but while colouring the flowers I just had to add another touch of pink and went over the line slightly. The air was rather blue at that moment.
So I had another go,
Different square this time, still not sure, I think the flowers are a bit dark.
Gerbera Daisy small stamp by Flourishes.
Coloured with Promarkers.
Cut out with Nestie rectangle die and matted onto larger rectangle die.
Might have another go during the week if I get my mojo into gear.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

ReplyDeleteHi Lynne . . . I like 'em both! Don't you just HATE that . . . when you've almost finished a card and then you cock it up? Grrrr.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sandra
Both lovely.
ReplyDeleteI think we've ALL made cock ups wwe soooo wish we hadn't.
I used I.E. too and lost all access to all sorts of things for a while but never lost my followers (well, one, but I assume that one was simply bored with following!) so I don't think anything was truly foolproof!!! Let's hope it's a while before it happens again!

Ooo I love the second one the most I think, very annoying when a card goes wrong at the very last minute, however as crafty crafters, we can usually get around such frusrations, both great cards for the 'less is more' challenge.....I have yet to join that challenge, even though my lovely sister Sarn, keeps trying to persuade me!! xx

great cards Lynne - I like the dark colours of the flowers - makes a change from pastels :-)
ReplyDeleteWell I love them - especially the centred one. The embossing gives that little stamp a bit more importance somehow! Vx
