Tulips for spring

Happy Friday every one!

Wow it`s nearly the weekend and I can`t wait.

Todays card is a very simple spring card. I love pink and green together and this image just shouted out to be teamed up with a bit of gingham.
The image is another from Microsoft Greetings just cut out and mounted onto some pink card.
I`ve used Papermania Capsule collection DP and layered it onto some more of the pink card and mounted that onto a plain white card.
A piece of gingham ribbon and a bow to finish.

In my last post I said I`d had a bit of do. We`ve been having a few problems lately with Mum falling at the home. Nothing too serious but a couple of times she`s banged her head quite badly and because it bled, it automatically means a hospital visit. Mums at the stage now where everything is a fight and trying to examine her head by nursing staff that are unused to dementia patients is, to say the least, a chore.
Anyway the staff at the home have been trying to get Mum a head guard to solve this problem. The ones you get at the hospital are the ones used for epileptics and are a bit like a cycle helmet but one of psychiatric nurses brought in a foam helmet to try. ( like the one the goalie wears). While I was there on wednesday one of the carers came to fit this helmet onto Mum and she really didn`t like it.  She gets frightened easily and doesn`t like any sort of upheaval but I wasn`t prepared for the fight we had over this flipping helmet. Mum screamed and tried to get it off, I tried to hold her hands down and calm her with soothing words, she slapped me. We finally managed to get it on and fastened and within two seconds she had forgotten all about it and was quite happily wandering about wearing her helmet. Honestly it`s like trying to cope with a large toddler having a tantrum. I feel sorry for the staff having to go through that every day and yet they are so good with her. Bless her.
Anyway, fingers crossed, no more banged heads.

Thanks for putting up with my ramblings.
