Happy Tuesday All!
I haven`t entered anything in the Clean and Simple Stamping challenge for quite a while now so I thought it was high time I had another go. This is the layout we were given;
And here is my take on it.
A very simple card but one of those that just simply fell into place ( doesn`t happen very often).
I used the largest stamp from Inkadinkado`s Birds Galore stamp set and inked it up with Versa colour Orchid.
I was lucky enough to find a scrap of Pink Petticoat paper already printed up in my scrap box and it matches almost perfectly. Even the dots go with the stamp.
I`ve changed the position of the sentiment, which is Papertreys Autumn Blessings because I wanted to use the same colour ink.
All in all I`m pretty chuffed with this one.
Well I hope all of you in the UK enjoyed your Bank holiday. I`m sure it would have been better if the weather had played along but then, when do we ever get good weather for August bank holiday? I had to work ofcourse, along with many others and we were quite busy in the shop. I can never understand why people get an extra day off work and spend it shopping. I`m sure I could have found something much more exciting to do.

Curtain Call # 45
I`m back again!
Wow! 3 posts in one day. Never before in the history of my blog have I ever managed 3 posts I don`t think lol.
Here is the colour swatch for Curtain Call # 45
Now, as you all know, I don`t have any of these Stampin` up colours so I`ve had to substitute everything. I also had a problem trying to work out what colour ` Concord Crush` is. At first I thought it was dark purple but looking at other peoples entries it looks more blue. So, if I`ve gone horribly wrong, I apologise.
Here is my card;
I made an A6 top fold card using white hammered card stock.
The green DP is Papermania Capsule Collection, punched with a Fiskars scallop punch along the side.
I`ve added some dark blue card, also punched , along the side of the green.
I stamped my image which is by My Minds Eye, in dark blue ink onto kraft card and cut it out with a nestie labels 4 die. I then cut it down further along one edge .
My sentiment is by Papertrey, also stamped in dark blue onto kraft and cut out with a smaller labels 4 die.
Even though I`m not sure I`ve used the correct colours I`m still rather pleased with this one. It`s a bit different to my usual style and I`ve enjoyed playing around with it.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

Cheryls card
Hello again,
this is my second post today and couldn`t be more different to the first one.
Next friday it will be my eldest daughters 34th birthday. I find this very strange because I`m sure I`m only 35, ( I am in my head anyway) lol.
This is the card I made for her.
Apologies for the photo, we had just had a down pour and I had to take this piccy quick before the light went. You can see the shadows of the raindrops on the window.
Cheryls favourite colour has always been red so ofcourse she always ends up with a red card.
The sentiment is computer generated.
I made a panel of white card and stamped the image in red ink then added some tiny gems to make it pop.
The image is Agapanthus Cluster by Stampendous.
I caught the edge of the stamp and left a mark so I`ve placed a butterfly on it and I think it looks like a butterfly trail. ( cough, cough)
I added some red ribbon and a bow although the tails are a bit short I`m still quite pleased with it.
Right, I`m off now to do some more crafting while I have the chance.

Do Not Adjust Your Sets!
Hello All!
I hope you`re all enjoying the bank holiday Sunday ( UK)
Guess who has to work tomorrow? Serves me right for working in retail lol.
My first post today is one I am really not sure about. In fact I would go so far as to say it`s really quite ugly.
I sometimes think that the girls who think up the colour challenges have quite a cruel streak in them. Just look at what the girls from The Play Date Cafe,
have come up with.
Hot Pink, Navy and Mustard.
They`ve even called it the ` Colour Horribilis` Challenge, and they were not wrong there, lol.
Still, a challenge is a challenge and I`ve had a go, not very well but I`ve had a go. This is what I finished up with.
Yes folks, I actually made this and not only that, I have the cheek to post it on my blog.
I used Navy card as my base.
I cut a piece of dark yellow card ( no mustard I`m afraid) and stamped an Elusive Images Damask in navy ink all over.
I added some hot pink ribbon and a bow.
The thank you sentiment is by Papertrey and is my sarcastic way of thanking the girls for such an awful colour combo this week.
Please, please, please can we have some nice pretty colours next time, pretty please!!!
End of rant and it`s all said very tongue in cheek, honestly.
Thanks for looking...Lynne xxx

And yet another award!!!
Good Afternoon All!
I`m such a lucky girl today. My blogging friend Lynn has sent me an award. I`ll have to be careful or my head will begin to swell.
I have to send this one to 7 blog friends.I`ve chosen my 7 for various reasons. Some because they inspire me, some because I`m just in awe at their creations and some because they`re just starting out and I know how much it does your ego good to get some recognition.

Thank you so much!
Good Morning All!
I was over the moon the other day to find that my blog buddy Tasha has nominated me for this award.
There are some rules that go with this, so here goes,
I have to thank the person who gave it to me. Done but once again, thank you Tasha.
I have to post it on my blog. Done!
I have to list 3 things I love about myself. ( Tricky this one)
1/ I`m good with people
2/ I don`t get bored
3/ I do a good Sunday roast.
I have to post a picture I love. Another difficult one as I have so many but not of all the family together. So as not to upset anyone I`m choosing this one of my dogs.
This was taken the day after we brought the new puppy, Brian home. Tara, the older dog didn`t like a youngster taking over her territory one bit and if you look closely you can see Tara is leaning away from the pup. Some other day I will tell you how we got Brian and how he got his name.
Finally I have to send this award on to 5 blog buddies who inspire me. So without further ado,

Curtain Call # 44
Good Morning and a Happy Monday to you all!
We have torrential rain here in the east of the country today. I`m hoping it eases off a bit before I have to walk to work. There`s nothing worse than turning up looking like a wet rag and trying to look cool and sophisticated, lol.
My mojo is still on a go slow but I managed to make a card for this weeks Curtain Call # 44.
Here is the inspiration piccy,
And here`s what I managed to come up with,
My red looks quite pink in this photo but it is red IRL.
I made an A6 card, top fold with white hammered card and scored some lines to give it a bit more texture.
I added some Gingham paper from Pink Petticoat.
inside the scored lines.
I used my new Chrysanthemum stamp from Waltzing Mouse to make the flowers and the stems are actually butterfly trails from the Stampmans Flutterby stamp set.I cut the image out with a nestie oval die.
I added some yellow ribbon and a bow along the top and some blue flat back pearls along the bottom.
The sentiment is by Anitas.
Well in the time it`s taken me to write this post, the rain has slowed to a steady drizzle ( yuk) so fingers crossed for some brighter skies. I also hoping my mojo will come back soon and give me a kickin the right direction. I bought loads of lovely ribbons over the weekend and can`t wait to start using them.

Cool Chrysanthemums
Hello all and a happy sunday to you.
I`ve had a strange week this week. I`ve been quite tired, especially towards the end of the week and my mojo seems to have been having an off week too. I`ve been sat staring at papers and stamps willing inspiration to come but it`s been an uphill struggle lol.
I have, however, managed to make a card for this weeks Playdate cafe.
Here is the inspiration piccy;
I was determined to have a go, not least so I could use my brand new Chrysanthemum stamps from Waltzing Mouse.
Here is what I eventually came up with,
Now I know it`s not the most spectacular card I`ve ever made and it doesn`t do the stamps justice either but I`m afraid you`ll just have to humour me this week. Hopefully my mojo will make a return sometime soon and I`ll come back with a masterpiece ( yeah right).
Supplies,
Stamp-Waltzing Mouse Chrysanthemums.
Ink- Versa colour, fresh green, cyan.
Sentiment- Papertrey.

Shabby Tea Room # 23
Good Morning Friends!
I`m in an exceptionally good mood this morning. The sun is shining, I`ve won a prize on the Picture Perfect Creations challenge And the Challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room is right up my street.
Not only is it perfect for me, it gives me another chance to use my new Vintage Rose papers from Pink Petticoat.
Here is my entry for this week,
I`ve tried to keep it fairly simple and let the papers do the talking so to speak.
I`ve also been able to use my new Martha Stewart border punch. I`ve had my eye on this for quite a while and when it arrived on monday I couldn`t wait to start playing with it.
Supplies, DP , Pink petticoat Vintage Roses and Pink Petticoat Gingham.
Border punch, Garden Trellis by Martha Stewart.
Sentiment by Anitas
Pearls and roses from stash.
Well I`m into my 3rd week at work and it`s all going very well. My feet are getting used to the standing so are not aching quite so much. I think I`d forgotten how enjoyable it can be having a bit of banter with the customers. Naturally there`s always the exception but on the whole the majority of them are lovely as are the rest of the staff. I think it`s safe to say I`ve settled in nicely and ofcourse there`s always pay day. The best day of the week, lol.

Play Date Cafe #42
Hello everyone!
Well it`s Sunday evening already, where has the weekend gone? Why do weekend days go faster than week days? These are just some of the questions that I need answering!!!lol.
Here is the photo and colour swatch from the Play Date Cafe
for this weeks challenge.
Quite a challenging one this week as I think the colours are quite masculine and I wasn`t in the mood for a man card. Anyway, this is what I came up with;
I used a cream hammered card for my base as it was the nearest I have to beige.
I matted and layered some brown damask DP from Papermania Joyeaux Noel collection. ( doesn`t look Christmassy to me), onto some dark green card.
I made a panel of green DP again from Papermania Capsule collection and layered that onto some brown card then added a strip of beige card, punched with a Fiskars punch.
I wrapped 2 skinny ribbons around my panel before sticking it onto my card base.
I stamped the bird from Inkadinkado Birds Galore in fresh green onto cream card and cut it out with a nestie circle. I cut a larger circle in the dark green card and placed my stamped image onto it using foam pads.
I added some emerald gems to give it a more feminine touch and finished off with 2 bows.
Although it is a bit darker than my usual cards I`m quite pleased with the way it`s turned out.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and thanks for popping in ...Lynne xxx

The Shabby Tea Room # 22
Hello friends!
Saturday at last and just time to post my submission for The Shabby Tea Room wk# 22 challenge.
The title for this weeks challenge is `Reflections` and we are to produce a project using this picture with reflections and/or these colours .
Here is my card;
I`ve tried to use the colours in the photograph and although there is no blue in it, the way the white reflects in the mirror gives it a slight bluish tinge. I also quite liked the contrast between the biege and the blue.
I started with a white square card ( 5" x 5" )
I matted and layered some pale blue pearlescent card and some of the new DP from Pink Petticoat
Vintage Roses collection in washed cream. I adore these papers and know I`ll be using them again and again.
The chandellier is a digi stamp, also by Pink Petticoat and I`ve jazzed it up a bit with some small clear gems, cut out with an oval nestie. I`ve then cut a larger nestie as a border in the blue.
I wrapped a black ribbon around the card and finished it off with a bow and added some larger clear gems in the bottom corners.
Well folks, it was payday for me yesterday so I got straight on the net and had myself a little ( very little) spending spree. I can`t wait until my goodies arrive and I`ll be showing off with some new designs soon.

PPC #25
Good Morning All!
Thank goodness it`s friday, bring on the weekend!
This is the colour swatch for this weeks challenge at Picture Perfect Creations.
Brilliant colours, or so I thought. Boy did I struggle to come up with something. This is what I finished up with,
Definately not my usual style and a bit bright even for me. I wasn`t going to enter it at first but the more I look at it, the more it grows on me.
I used an A5 pink card, top fold.
The yellow DP is by Papermania.
The Lily stamp is by Rubberdubbado and is stamped in Lilac.
I layered the stamped image onto some pink card and placed it at an angle with foam pads.
The sentiment is by Papertrey, also stamped in lilac, cut out with nestie circle and mounted onto a larger pink circle..
I`ve added a purple ribbon and bow.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

Just showing off!
Good Morning Friends.
I`m having a bit of a show off moment today.
Remember this card,
Imagine my surprise and delight when I checked on my comments last night to discover one from Liz Armstrong who owns Pink Petticoat .
informing me that she is featuring my card on her blog. To say I`m over the moon is an understatement. Thank you Liz.
Whats more I`ve won a prize too. Not for a card unfortunately, but as a follower of Picture Perfect Creations.
I`ve won a pack of kraft card and envelopes. How cool is that???
Hopefully back tomorrow with a card.

A quick card
Good evening friends!
.I have a quick card and an even quicker post today.
I realised late on sunday evening that it was my neighbours daughters 13th birthday today. As I usually have to think about how I`m going to put a card together for a while before I start, it didn`t give me a great deal of time.
So, I did most of the work before I went to work yesterday and finished it off last night. A quick photograph this morning before I handed it over and a long wait til I had time to actually post it on here.
( As you can tell I haven`t quite managed a routine yet lol ).
It really is a basic card but, I think, pretty enough for a birthday girl.
I used digi papers from Pink Petticoat, using the Martha Stewart Doily punch on the flowery paper.
I added a piece of lilac ribbon and topped it off with a collection of Prima flowers and a sparkly brad.
The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with nestie.
Thats it from me for now, got to ring my dad so might be some time lol.

Orange Damask
Hello again!
Two posts today, maybe I`m catching up on all the time I missed.
I just had to get this one in quick as I realised the closing day for this challenge is midnight tonight.
This is the colour swatch we were given at Color throwdown
As soon as I saw these fabulous colours I knew I had to play along. This is my version,
I stamped the damask pattern from Heidi Swapp in Versa color Orange onto plain white paper.
The striped paper is a digi download from Shabby Princess.
I had downloaded a stamin` up colour chart and printed it off so was thrilled when my yellow ribbon was a near perfect match for Dafodil delight ( although it does look darker in the piccy).
I made some more `carnations` in orange in two sizes.
The only bit of green I could manage are the leaves I`m afraid. I stamped and embossed the small leaf set from Papertrey Turning a new leaf set and cut them out. ( very tricky... I really must get a leaf punch).
I added a big bow for a bit of flounce and thats it.
There you are Vicky... carnations and a bow. Be careful what you wish for...lol.
Right , better get this included in the challenge before I run out of time. See you all soon.

Another card for Jean
Hello!!!
I`m here at last with a card.
My Dad rang during the week and asked me to make a card for Jean. This is the same lady I made the lilac card for a few posts ago. I decided to go with pink and this was the perfect excuse to use my brand new digi papers from Pink Petticoat.
They are called vintage roses and remind me of Laura Ashley. This is what I did with them,
The photo isn`t very good I`m afraid. We had glorious sunshine first thing but by the time I had the chance to take a piccy, the sun had disappeared again.
I made a 5" x 5" square card, then cut a panel slightly smaller. I like this way of making cards as it gives a bit of depth and is also easier for wrapping ribbon round.
I used 2 pieces of Pink petticoat DP, one roses and one stripes. Wrapped the ribbon around the join to hide, then mounted the panel onto my card using foam pads.
Then I just went to town with the embellies.
I used some diamonte flourish bling, then added some pink roses from my stash.
Made a huge bow ( ofcourse) and added that to my ribbon.
I made the sentiment on the PC and cut it out with a nestie labels 4 die and voila!!!
Phew! I`d forgotten just how hectic life is when you are working. I`m doing afternoons next week so that should be easier and I am determined to keep on top of things so I can have more of my weekend free ( yeah right!) Lol.

A quick note.
No card today, just a line or two to let you know I`m still around.
Firstly, I`d like to thank you all very much for your kind words of encouragement on starting my new job.
It`s going very well, I`m enjoying it more than I thought I would. As I said, it`s only part time, this week I`m doing 10 - 2 on the till. It`s a very busy shop so it`s all go, all the time and my poor feet are really suffering. Monday and tuesday I was in agony but I gave myself a foot massage ( Alan volunteered but I told him I didn`t recommend it) and as the week has gone on they`ve got slightly better. Considering I spent most of the last year sat on my bum crafting, 4 hours standing at a till is gonna hurt isn`t it ? Next week I think I`m doing afternoons which will suit me better. 10 - 2 is ok but by the time I`m home, rested my feet and done an evening meal, the day is almost over. And then there`s house work! Now I`m not house proud as anyone will tell you but I do like it to be clean and tidy. I`m sure that once I get into a routine I`ll have much more time for crafting and I do have one or two in the pipeline so roll on the weekend.
Thanks for popping in and I`ll see you all soon....Lynne xxx

My first Christmas card this year
Good Morning All!
And a happy monday to you.
The colour swatch and piccy over on Stacey`s blog Curtain Call Act #41 asks us to use these colours
While over on Our Creative Corner
we are asked for `Christmas in July`, except it`s now August but who`s counting?
After several failed attempts to get something lacey I decided to go with this for my card.
It`s a design I used last Christmas after I borrowed ( stole) the idea from Sarita. If you`ve never seen any of Sarita`s beautiful creations you can find her blog HERE .
Please visit, you will be in for a treat.
I started with a DL plain white card.
I stamped an Elusive Images Damask background stamp in royal blue on to white card and embossed in clear EP.Then cut 2 circles with a circle nestie.
I cut the border using my borderbilities classic lace die in navy card stock, then added a slither of fawn card along the edge.
I used foam pads to raise it along the edge of my card.
I cut 2 pieces of navy ribbon at different lengths and added those to my card from the top then placed my ` baubles` circles on foam pads.
I`ve added some tiny blue gems on the circles for added bling and some on my border. I used some larger gems to highlight my sentiment.
Then I made 2 bows to finish my baubles off.
The sentiment is by Creative Expressions and is stamped in Royal Blue.
Not much else to tell you really. Hopefully I won`t be too worn out tomorrow and might even have another card to post seeing as I seem to be on a roll.

CAS and PDC and some news
Good afternoon all!
My card today is for 2 challenges Clean and Simple Stamping and The Play Date Cafe
Cas gave us this sketch
and PDC gave us this piccy and the requirements are Black & White with a touch of Green.
This is my card
I think this must be one of the easiest cards I`ve made in a long time.
I`ve used an A5 top fold white base card.
I`ve matted some black and white DP from Dovecraft onto some green card leaving a very narrow border.
I stamped and embossed some leaves from Papertreys Turning a new leaf set in fresh green and carefully cut them out.
The butterfly is from Anitas and is stamped and embossed in white onto vellum.
I raised the leaves with tiny foam pads and stuck on the butterfly.
The sentiment is from Papertreys Autumn Blessings set and is stamped with black Stazon and raised with foam pads.
I toyed with the idea of doing a more flambouyant card but I seem to be in a cas mood today and this just fit the bill.
Now for my news. I am finally on the system at my new place of work and start tomorrow morning. I`m a little nervous as I`ve been away from working life for a year now and everything and everyone will be new but I`m sure I`ll soon get used to it. I must admit I will miss my carefree days of being able to do my own thing in my own time but I just keep looking at all the things I`ll be able to treat myself to.
