...for taking me out of my comfort zone and giving me yet another addiction lol.
After at first worrying whether I`d be able to join in with this weeks Less is More Challenge I`ve gone a bit overboard with inks and paints. And I`m loving it.
While I still had the H2o`s out, I thought I`d have a go with the irredescent ones. These only show up on dark card and so haven`t had much use in the past.
I used dark brown card and masked off an area to paint.
I used the green irredescent and just brushed it on roughly.
Once it was dried I stamped the Branches from Inkadinkado Delicate Branches stamp set and embossed in detail gold EP.
The sentiment is from Flourishes Tag Lines and is also embossed in gold.
I think this makes an ok male card.
But then I realised that the challenge was to get inky and H2o`s are paints so I had another think.
And came up with this one.
I masked off a square in the centre of the card and sponged versacolor inks in Peony, Magenta and Orchid.
While it was still `wet` I stamped the leaf from Papertreys Turning a New Leaf set Memento Rosebud and poured clear EP over the whole thing and heat embossed it.
The embossing doesn`t show up too well in the photo but is gorgeous IRL.
I`m dead chuffed with thisone and I`ll probably use this technique in the future now I`ve found the confidence to try it.
Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx
